The Russian military tried to go on the offensive in the Zaporizhzhia region. The Defense Forces of Ukraine reduced the number of the Russian army by 30 people.

“The long-announced “offensive” of the enemy’s 58th Army in the Zaporizhzhia direction only reduces the number of its personnel and equipment. The low level of training and interaction between the enemy’s units is more reminiscent of suicide than offensive actions,” the message of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook reads. .

At the same time, the Ukrainian military noted that the Russians are literally committing suicide, because the tactics of the Russian commanders make their vehicles easy targets for the Armed Forces. As a result of the failed assault, the occupiers lost 30 people and three tanks.

What is known about the situation in the Zaporizhzhia region

Part of the territory of the Zaporizhzhia region is currently occupied by the Russian Federation. At the same time, the invaders continue to terrorize the local residents, inflicting rocket and artillery strikes on the Ukrainian-controlled part of the region.

Collaborator Yevhen Balytskyi once announced the Russians’ intentions to “liberate” the entire Zaporizhzhia region already in the spring. Ukrainian intelligence also warned about a new offensive of the occupiers.

So far, the occupiers are withdrawing equipment, and the Ukrainian defenders are actively eliminating the enemy’s manpower and equipment, as well as preparing for a counteroffensive.
