The team of the Ukrainian information and statistical service GameSensor has collected interesting data about Ukrainian games and the Ukrainian-speaking community on Steam.
To generate statistics of Ukrainian developers, the GameSensor team used the database of the Ukrainian Games Festival on Steam, which took place in the summer of 2022 and included more than 200 games from 140 domestic developers. Based on these data, GameSensor compiled the top Ukrainian games for sale in 2022 and several additional charts.

Steam statistics show that the Ukrainian interface is now used by 0.43% of players, compared to 0.3% before the full-scale war. We hope that more and more Ukrainian users will switch to the Ukrainian locale, contributing to the appearance of Ukrainian localization in games.

GameSensor.info is an analogue of the already well-known Steam Spy, an analytical tool for tracking sales in Steam, which was once created by Sergey Galenkin, a well-known game developer. The main goal of the project is information exchange and mutual assistance. The service, using machine learning, analyzes statistical data on game traffic on Steam and other information portals, as well as financial indicators of studio partners that publish games. Using algorithm-based game segmentation analytics, developers can optimize their strategy to increase in-game organic traffic and improve the chances of their games’ financial success.
