The President emphasized the need to daily strengthen the feeling in Russia that it will not be able to achieve anything in Ukraine.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi, speaking about the supply of tanks to Ukraine, noted: I believe that the strength of German leadership will remain unchanged.

“Now the key task of our state, all of us and our partners is to strengthen the terrorist state’s feeling every day that they will not be able to achieve anything in Ukraine. No matter how much time they devote to the war. No matter what forces they spend and how many of their people were not thrown onto the battlefield by the hosts of the Kremlin,” the president said in an evening video message.

Zelensky emphasized that the implementation of this task consists of various elements – both defensive and political, but one of the most important elements is modern Western tanks, the supply of which Ukraine is negotiating with its partners.

“And I thank everyone who has already made the relevant decisions. I thank the President of the European Council, Charles Michel, who was in Kyiv today and who very clearly calls on Europe to make a decision about tanks. And the corresponding coalition of partners has actually already been formed, and now we are waiting for a decision actually from one European capital, which activates the prepared chains of cooperation on tanks. I believe that the strength of German leadership will remain unchanged,” he said.

The head of state reminded that today it became known at once about several powerful decisions of the partners to strengthen the defense of Ukraine, first of all, to strengthen the artillery.

“Thank you to Estonia for the next and largest package of armed aid from this country. For howitzers and ammunition. Thank you to Sweden for the new military package. For NLAW, “Archers” and BMP. I thank Denmark for deciding on “Caesars” for our soldiers. . . I thank Lithuania for the new military package. For anti-aircraft guns, ammunition and helicopters,” he said.

According to Zelenskyi, Ukraine is preparing for the next meeting of the Contact Group on Defense of Ukraine “Ramstein”, which will take place on January 20.

“We are waiting for strong decisions. We are waiting for a powerful package of military support from the United States,” the president added.

On January 3, the deputy head of the President’s Office, diplomatic adviser to the head of state Andriy Sybiga said that based on the results of the so-called “Ramstein-8” we should expect a decision on the maximum strengthening of the combat potential of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

On January 4, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, predicted that the Armed Forces of Ukraine will soon receive new armor and firepower, including tanks, from their partners.
