The pilot, flight mechanic and flight instructor died
In Nizhyn today, they said goodbye to the employees of the Special Aviation Detachment of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, who died in the plane crash in Brovary. This was announced by Nizhyn City Mayor Oleksandr Kodola.
According to him, a farewell was held in Nizhyn for the rescuers of the Special Aviation Detachment of the ORS of the Central Emergency Service of Ukraine, who died while performing their duties in the plane crash in Brovary: the commander of the aircraft – the instructor of the special purpose aviation squadron Oleksandr Vasylenko, the pilot Kostyantyn Kovalenko and the pilot Kostyantyn Kovalenko .
Representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the State Emergency Service, the Nizhyn District Military Administration, the city authorities and the personnel of the aviation unit came to pay their last respects to the fallen crew members. Those present honored the memory of the victims with a moment of silence, laid flowers and expressed their condolences to their relatives.
“A terrible tragedy took the lives of true professionals, patriots, friends and colleagues. May God give our country the strength to go through all the trials. To win the war and remember everyone we loved and who stood by us at this time,” – Oleksandr noted. Kernels
Tragedy in Brovary
As reported, on January 18, a helicopter of the State Emergency Service crashed in Brovary, Kyiv region. So far, 14 people are known to have died, including representatives of the MIA task force, in particular the leadership of the Ministry – Minister Denys Monastyrskyi, his first deputy Yevhen Yenin, and State Secretary of the MIA Yuriy Lubkovich.
Investigators of the Security Service have started a pre-trial investigation into the helicopter crash. Law enforcement officers are considering several versions of the tragedy: violation of flight rules; technical malfunction of the helicopter; intentional actions to destroy a vehicle. Today, January 21, Kyiv said goodbye to the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, who died in the plane crash in Brovary.
