Packaging and assembly

The Mill 1200W WiFi, Gentle Air WiFi and Invisible WiFi heaters come in white cardboard boxes with convenient plastic handles.

Inside are the heater itself of the corresponding model, a set of legs or wall mounts, an operating manual and a warranty. Everything is well packed, there is foam protection and support.

Design and ergonomics

Mill 1200W WiFi, Gentle Air WiFi and Invisible WiFi differ in form factor and dimensions. But all models are made in a single futuristic minimalist style without sharp corners and with high-quality, elegant aluminum legs.

The main material of which the heaters are made is metal. This is lightweight aluminum in the case of the Mill 1200W WiFi and Invisible WiFi or stronger steel in the Gentle Air WiFi facades.

All Mill models have an elegant style and easily become part of the design of modern offices, apartments, houses or small cafes.

Convector Mill 1200W WiFi mounted in a horizontal position. It has neat aluminum stand legs and rounded sides.

On the end of the model there are buttons for controlling the device, as well as a single-color, but informative LED screen. Above it there are three light bulbs, each of which displays the operation of different convector elements. The left white shows whether the heater is consuming power or not, the middle red is on when it turns on or off, and the right green shows Wi-Fi activity.

Under the screen we can see the thermostat wheel. When it is pressed, the Wi-Fi connection is turned on/off. Even lower are the settings button and the on/off button of the convector itself

The upper end of the convector has holes through which warm air enters. Then the sides of the model heat up, so it is better not to touch them.

Mill Gentle Air WiFi oil radiator is installed vertically on stylish aluminum legs. This model also has curved fronts with stylish black ends and a control panel on one of them. On the sides of the model, there are convenient recesses for maximum mobility. With them the heater is easy to move around the house or room.

11

Below on the end is a control panel with a large LED screen. It displays temperature, Wi-Fi connection status, active power consumption. The display is large, bright and convenient.

Four buttons were placed immediately under the screen: heating intensity adjustment, Wi-Fi connection, settings and timer. Further down, we can see the “knob” of the thermostat, and below it – the heater on/off button. On the upper border there are holes for heat.

11

Mill Invisible WiFi placed horizontally and only with wall mounting. This will allow you to stylishly decorate the room in which the heater is installed and provide warmth in it. The configuration of this model does not have legs to put on the floor, but there are fasteners. The heater looks ascetic and stylish. Warm air exits through holes located on all four sides of the model. The Mill Invisible WiFi doesn’t have a screen or thermostat, but the similar Glass WiFi model does. There is a heater on/off button. All management takes place through the program.

Opportunities

Mill 1200W WiFi, Gentle Air WiFi and Invisible WiFi are equipped with Wi-Fi modules for connecting to a proprietary program. They also have temperature sensors that can be calibrated for maximum accuracy.

All devices heat up quickly and operate without noise. They have several heating modes, mechanical and electronic thermostat, protection against overheating and child lock.

Control the heaters with buttons on the body or a localized application. Devices can also be turned on/off with buttons, set a set temperature, turn on child protection, etc.

All models have a memory function. If the heater is connected to Wi-Fi and then disconnected, for example, moved to another room or the light is turned off, it will automatically reconnect to the network after switching on.

Optionally, you can reset the heater and Wi-Fi settings. In the first case, you need to press and hold the settings button with the image of a wheel for five seconds. In the second, press and hold the thermostat knob for five seconds.

Mill 1200W WiFi, Gentle Air WiFi and Invisible WiFi are equipped with the “Open Window” function. It registers a sudden drop in temperature of more than 5°C within 15 minutes. In this case, the heater automatically stops working, and the word FO appears on the screen. In this mode, the device maintains a temperature of 5 °C to avoid damage from freezing. It will start heating again if the temperature rises by at least three degrees within 15 minutes. This is very convenient when, for example, you opened a window or door for ventilation, but forgot to turn off the heater.

Mill Gentle Air WiFi also features Mill Heat Boost technology. Thanks to its closed shape, the heater distributes heat 29% faster in the room than other oil radiators. The closed shape makes the hot air rise faster, which distributes the heat more efficiently.

Connection and software

Mill 1200W WiFi, Gentle Air WiFi and Invisible WiFi work with Mill Norway’s proprietary app (Android and iOS) This is a very convenient and easy to use app. I am glad that the Ukrainian language was added in the last update.

To fully work with the heater, of course, it must first be added to the program. To do this, we select the item “Add a device”, then select our model and follow the simple instructions on the screen. After a minute, the heater will connect and you can control it via your phone.

If, like me, you have several heaters, then after connecting, you can create a “House with rooms” option in the application: “Bedroom”, “Kitchen”, “Living room” and so on. This will make it more convenient to control the heating and monitor the temperature in different rooms.

Through Mill Norway you can monitor the air temperature in the rooms where the heaters are, as well as the energy consumption of the models.

There is a direct heating control, you can also set automatic options. In this case, one or another heater will start as soon as the temperature in the room drops below the mark set by the user.

The application has different programs (“Comfort”, “Sleep”, etc.), which are also customized for the user. For example, when all the houses, the heater provides a specific temperature in the room. When no one is around or the users are sleeping, it maintains the heat in the house and adheres to the set indicators. All these programs are made for maximum efficiency and money saving.

Mill Norway also has heater sensor calibration to more accurately determine the temperature in the rooms, child lock, open window function, “vacation mode” – maintaining a certain temperature when the family is away from home for a long time (on vacation, visiting relatives or business) , commercial lock (disables all physical buttons on the device), preheat (turns on heating earlier to reach a set temperature) and much more.

In the program, you can also view instructions for use and learn about alternative ways to connect heaters to Wi-Fi.

Experience of use

All Mill heaters look modern and minimalist not only in the photos from the website. In fact, they are just as futuristic and ascetic, fit well into the interior and become an integral part of the rooms.

The Mill 1200W WiFi convector and the Invisible WiFi model heat up very quickly and don’t crackle or make any noises like my cheap convector does.

Despite its super-compact size, Mill 1200W WiFi heats large and medium-sized rooms up to 25 square meters as efficiently as possible. m. The same goes for the wall-mounted version of Invisible WiFi.

Oil Gentle Air WiFi “accelerates” more slowly, but after a while this thing emits heat so efficiently that it feels very similar to a fireplace or stove in a house.

When working inside the model, the heated oil sometimes crackles a little, but this is normal in any oil heater. This model heats small and medium-sized rooms well.

Like the Mill 1200W WiFi, the Invisible WiFi dries the air and therefore the skin. But here it is not about the models themselves, but about the heating method. All similar heaters of competitors do the same. It simply needs to be accepted, and even better prevented. I do this with a humidifier. We turn it on for an hour or two in the room where the heater works, and the room becomes perfectly warm and without excessive dryness.

I liked the convenient and informative screens. Heaters are very easy to use through the program, set the temperature, control energy consumption and the climate in the rooms. But they are also easy to control with buttons, because there are only a few of them and they are easy to understand. And if you still do not understand something, then the kit includes a comprehensive instruction with pictures, which shows all the main functions.

Conclusions

Mill 1200W WiFi, Gentle Air WiFi and Invisible WiFi heaters are an excellent modern and comfortable solution for winter cold and room heating. These are indispensable options for autumn and spring, when the heating is already turned off, but it is still cold outside.

Thanks to their futuristic and ascetic design, these models are suitable for the modern interior of apartments, private houses, offices, co-working spaces and small cafes. Metal body parts and aluminum legs and stands make the models reliable and durable. Also, these Mill devices will not only make your rooms warm, but also save money.

All three models heat up quickly and operate quietly. They have several operating modes, a mechanical and electronic thermostat, protection against overheating and child lock. Heaters are easy to control with an app with many modes and scheduling options. But the Mill 1200W WiFi and Gentle Air WiFi are very easy to control and the buttons. Installed LED screens also help with this.

The Mill 1200W WiFi and Invisible WiFi heaters have received the prestigious Red Dot Design Award for design excellence. The first model was awarded in 2019, and the second in 2022.

You can buy Mill brand heaters on the websites of the brand’s partners.
