The Animagrad studio (FILM.UA Group) has revealed the full star cast of actors dubbing the cartoon “Mavka. Forest Song”. This animated film brought together famous Ukrainian actors, singers, musicians, cultural figures and TV presenters. The authors have prepared a special video so that viewers can see and hear the star-studded cast, as well as the animated characters from the Human World and the Forest World that they voiced.
It is reported that the main character Mavka will speak in the voice of Natalia Denysenko, a theater, film and dubbing actress. The prima ballerina of the National Opera and the People’s Artist of Ukraine Kateryna Kukhar presented Berehyna Lisy with her movements and plasticity, and the singer Kristina Solovay performed two songs of “Mavka” in the cartoon.
TV presenter, newman and volunteer Serhii Prytula gave his voice to the mannerly Frol, Kilina’s stylist. Voicing took place even before the start of a full-scale war. Participation in the “Mavka” project became Serhiy’s final work in the entertainment field, thus ending his career as an actor and showman.

Musician Oleh Skrypka dubbed the Lord of Nothingness, one of the four Supreme Spirits of Nature, who sits in the Rock. And People’s Artist of Ukraine and actress Natalia Sumska embodied the role of the Healer, a wise healer.
Actor Nazar Zadniprovsky gave his voice to the venerable Elder Lis Lisovyk. Uncle Lev spoke in the voice of musician Oleg Fagot Mykhailouta.
TV presenter Kateryna Osadcha got the opportunity to duplicate several heroines – Ukrainian women of different ages. To do this, she had to change the timbre of her voice, taking into account which character she would voice. Nina Matvienko, a singer and People’s Artist of Ukraine, will tell the background story from which the cartoon begins.
Members of the “Dakhabrakha” ethnic group – Nina Garenetska, Marko Galanevich, Olena Tsibulska and Iryna Kovalenko – also joined the duplication process. They became prototypes for the heroes of the tape and “played” themselves – musicians, friends of Lukasz, who inspired him to listen to himself and follow his dreams. In addition, the band created soundtracks for cartoons – an adaptation of the folk song “Stepping Wheel” and an authentic Ukrainian “Spring Girl”, with which animated characters welcome spring. The band will also play the folk song “Sho from under the oak” in the cartoon.
Animated film “Mavka. Forest Song” based on Lesya Ukrainka’s play will be released on March 2, 2023.
