According to the minister, the partners’ trust in Ukraine grows with each meeting.
The next meeting of the Contact Group on Defense of Ukraine (the so-called Ramstein-9) will take place soon. The Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Oleksiy Reznikov, announced this on Twitter.
He noted that he sees how trust in Ukraine is growing. And together with trust, the amount of aid increases.
“With every meeting, I see how our partners’ trust in Ukraine grows. It’s all thanks to the hard work of our soldiers and representatives. More trust means more weapons. To protect our land, sea… and sky!”, Reznikov wrote and added , that Ramstein 9 will take place in February
Rammstein-8: what Ukraine got
As reported, “Rammstein-8” took place on January 20. After the meeting, the Secretary General of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), Jens Stoltenberg, said that a significant new package of “combat capabilities” for Ukraine was announced at the Ramstein-8 meeting.
Reznikov stated that “some packages (aid to Ukraine – ) were announced behind closed doors”, so he is very satisfied with the outcome of the Ramstein-8 meeting.
According to Reznikov, Ukraine is preparing for a potential large-scale attack by Russia in the spring, and the partners know about it: “We have been talking about it for a long time, and our intelligence, and analysts, and the General Staff, so of course we are preparing for it, we have certainly signaled about it is to our partners, we are on the same page with them in the perception of all these risks.”
