The killer turned out to be 67-year-old Chunli Zhao, who worked at one of the shooting sites.

In the United States, seven people died as a result of a mass shooting that occurred on January 23 at two locations in the coastal city of Half Moon Bay in northern California. The suspect was arrested after he pulled into a police parking lot, apparently in an attempt to surrender.
The new tragedy occurred about 50 km south of San Francisco, where 11 people died the other day, writes Reuters.
San Mateo County Sheriff Christina Corpus identified the suspect as 67-year-old Chunli Zhao. The man worked at one of the shooting sites. Local media reported that it was a mushroom farm.
“Farm workers were injured tonight. There were children on the scene at the time of the incident. This is truly a terrible tragedy in our community. The amount of stress that this community has been under for weeks is really quite high,” San Mateo County Executive Ray Mueller told reporters.
Mass shooting in the USA
In the United States, the celebration of the Chinese New Year turned into a real bloody chaos. An unknown assailant opened fire at the Star Ballroom Dance Studio in Monterey Park, killing 11 people.
According to CNN, the shooter was one of the studio regulars. Approximately 17-20 minutes after the shooting at the Star Ballroom Dance Studio, the killer appeared in the next dance hall, already in the neighboring city of Alhambra. However, a group of people took the gun there.
