Xbox held a small Developer Direct presentation last night, where Arkane Austin and Bethesda Softworks gave a detailed gameplay demo of Redfall. The developers of Dishonored, Prey and Deathloop showed the main aspects of the future shooter under their own comments and named the release date.

The beginning of the video tells about the world of the game and the four main characters with unique abilities. They have to fight vampires near the island city of Redfall. The world in the shooter includes various locations – the suburbs, the lighthouse, the forest, the bay, the lower areas and others. All regions are filled with enemies, but there are also shelters where you can rest and replenish supplies.

Next, the video shows battles and completing missions. Among the vampires there are different types of enemies with their own characteristics. Some can explode, others can fly, and others have increased physical strength. To eliminate bloodsuckers, you can use a heavy arsenal of weapons – shotguns, assault rifles, double-barreled rifles, pistols, and more.

Before starting a battle, users are free to stealthily destroy several enemies. For this, guns with a silencer are used, as shown in the moment with the release of the hostages. But judging by the gameplay, there is no full-fledged stealth.

At the end of the demo, Arkane Austin said that Redfall will be released on May 2 for PC, Xbox Series X and Series S. The developers have opened pre-orders for two editions – standard for 1399 hryvnias and Bite Back Edition for 1999 hryvnias. The latter includes battle passes for two future heroes, a set of equipment, weapon types and costumes.

Redfall – Basic Details

• In the game you have to fight with vampires that appeared as a result of scientific experiments. They caused a solar eclipse and dried up the water around the island of Redfall.
• The gameplay of Redfall involves shooting, exploring the terrain and collecting better equipment. Equipment in the game is divided by quality level – from ordinary to legendary.
• You can play the shooter both alone and in cooperative. The developers claim that the project will have many Arkane signature elements.
• Redfall will be released in 2023 on PC, Xbox Series X and Series S. The game was planned to be released this summer, but decided to move it together with Starfield.
