Zelenskyi emphasized that the departure abroad of state officials, people’s deputies, representatives of local authorities should be in accordance with the decision of the National Security Council.
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, commented on the departure of the Deputy Chairman of the “Servant of the People” faction, Mykola Tyshchenko, abroad, he said in an evening video message.
“Unfortunately, I have to repeat it for those who did not hear well. Any trip abroad of state officials, people’s deputies, representatives of local authorities and other persons authorized to perform the functions of the state or local self-government, any trip abroad by them should be in accordance with the decision of the National Security Council, which you all saw,” the head of state said.
He emphasized that there will be no other trips abroad by officials or deputies during wartime. “I think it’s fair,” Zelensky added.
The new scandal with Tyschenko – what is known
On January 23, Zelenskyi signed Decree No. 27/2023, according to which Ukrainian officials will have the opportunity to travel outside Ukraine exclusively on business trips.
Journalists discovered Tyshchenko, a People’s Deputy from “Servant of the People” in Thailand. After that, an announcement of a meeting with the Ukrainian community on January 27 at the Novotel hotel (Bangkok) appeared on the website of the Embassy of Ukraine in Thailand. According to the announcement, it is planned to discuss issues of improving interaction with representatives of the Ukrainian community in the Kingdom of Thailand.
On January 26, the chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, Ruslan Stefanchuk, stated that Tyshchenko did not travel abroad and did not sign a travel trip to Thailand.
The head of the “Servant of the People” faction, David Arakhamiya, announced that Tyshchenko will be dismissed from the position of deputy head of the faction and excluded from the faction. In turn, the head of the “Servant of the People” party, Olena Shulyak, informed about the exclusion of Tyshchenko from the ranks of the party in accordance with clause 9.1. 22 of Article 9 of the Statute.
