In an attempt to seize Gostomel airfield, the Russian invaders destroyed the legendary An-225 “Mriya” aircraft – the largest and most powerful transporter in the world. And while Ukraine is looking for an opportunity to restore the legend, the developers of Microsoft Flight Simulator decided to create a virtual version of the famous Ukrainian giant in the game.
It became known that the next aircraft in the Famous Flyer series in the game Microsoft Flight Simulator will be the An-225 “Mriya”. It is planned to be added to the game on the anniversary of the destruction – February 27. To pilot the legendary giant, you will need to purchase DLC worth $20. It is expected that part of the money from the sale of the virtual plane will go to the restoration of the real “Dream”.

Initially, the An-225 “Mriya” will be available only to users of the PC version of Microsoft Flight Simulator. Xbox Series S/X console users will have to wait for Sim Update 12, scheduled for March 2023.
In addition, the An-225 “Mriya” aircraft is now available in the game through a mod created by enthusiasts. The new version will be official and therefore may be more realistic.
