Opponents are looking for holes on the front, noted the former adviser to the President’s Office.
The authorities of the Russian Federation in the east of Ukraine created two groups of occupation troops, now the task of the enemy in our country is to reach the lines that are convenient for defense.
The peak of fighting is possible in March, former adviser to the Office of the President of Ukraine Oleksiy Arestovych told Russian journalist Yulia Latynina. “…they have now created two groups – one is on the Lyman direction, one on the Bakhmut direction… these groups are capable of trying to cross Bakhmut and go to the Liman… the build-up is gradual…” – said the expert.
The interlocutor added that the enemies are “feeling” the weak points of the Ukrainian side, looking for holes on the front. According to him, the advancing enemy forces are a “scary target” and have little new equipment.
“They will increase their efforts throughout February, their peak according to the plan, I understand in terms of pace, somewhere in March. March is a month, according to the idea, of intense combat operations, and somewhere in April to start gaining a foothold on the frontiers. Their task is to go to the frontiers , which are convenient for defense, because they are unlikely to be able to advance further…”, said the ex-advisor.
Arestovych emphasized that “their task is to take the most advantageous lines, so that when we sink into a counteroffensive, they reliably stand on the defensive and say: “Guys, you don’t need it, let’s negotiate…”.
