CD Projekt RED today released another update for The Witcher 3: Next-Gen Update. As always, Steam and GOG Galaxy will start downloading the patch when the client is launched. Patch 4.01 in GOG “weighs” about 3 GB.

The patch contains fixes for many Arabic, Korean, and Chinese localization issues. In particular, localized versions of Orianna’s song “Lullaby of Woe” in Korean and Simplified Chinese have been added.

- Preparation for battle – fixed a bug that made it impossible to interact with Avallak’h during the “Tell Avallak’h that everything is ready” task.
- Family affairs – fixed a bug that could cause the game to crash when transitioning to Ciri’s Story: Out of the Shadows while talking to the Blood Baron.
- King’s Gambit – fixed a bug where it was impossible to engage in a fistfight with the second Wildcarl due to an invisible obstacle.
- Guilty Wars: Belgaard – added a retrofix for an issue fixed in version 4.00 where the quest could not be completed if the player destroyed one of the required monster nests during exploration.
- A dangerous game – the armor in Caesar’s room should now change its appearance when the nilfgaard alternate armor is enabled.
- Puppets under Axia’s effect have increased damage and health
- The Adrenaline Rush mutation should now work as described.
- Various small fixes to quests and cutscenes.
Unfortunately, this patch did not bring any optimization of the processor – the game, as before, strongly depends on the single-threaded performance of the CPU.
