During the CES 2023 exhibition, AMD announced the expansion of the Ryzen 7000 desktop processor line by releasing six new models. Among the novelties, 3 standard models of the Ryzen 7000 series (without X) and 3 processors of the Ryzen 7000X3D series were offered.
At that time, information was revealed only about the prices of Ryzen 7000 processors, and now AMD has published the prices of Ryzen X3D series devices: Ryzen 9 7950X3D, Ryzen 9 7900X3D and Ryzen 7 7800X3D. The company also talked about the dates of the start of sales of new products.
AMD is positioning the Ryzen 7000X3D processors with 3D V-Cache as high-performance solutions for gamers, content creators and workstation users. The Ryzen 7000X3D series is distinguished by the presence of 3D V-Cache memory, which significantly increases the available amount of processor cache memory. So, the top model Ryzen 9 7950X3D with 16 computing cores contains 144 MB of cache memory, while the 16-core Ryzen 9 7950X chip has “only” 80 MB of cache memory. At the same time, the novelty is characterized by a smaller appetite, its TDP indicator is immediately reduced by 50 W – to 120 W. True, the Ryzen 7 7800X3D model has a higher TDP value than the Ryzen 7 7800X. Detailed specifications and prices of the new AMD Ryzen 7000X3D processors are presented in the table.
Model | Cores/threads | Overclock/base frequency | Cache | TDP | Price |
AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D | 16 cores/32 threads | up to 5.7 GHz/4.2 GHz | 144 MB | 120 V | $699 |
AMD Ryzen 9 7900X3D | 12 cores/24 threads | up to 5.6 GHz/4.4 GHz | 140 MB | 120 V | $599 |
AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D | 8 cores/16 threads | up to 5 GHz/4.2 GHz | 104 MB | 120 V | $449 |
The Ryzen 9 7950X3D and Ryzen 9 7900X3D models will be available for sale from February 28, while the Ryzen 7 7800X3D version will go on sale on April 6.
