Traditionally, many dislike Microsoft’s newest OS, and it also traditionally continues to steadily grow its user base. Windows 10 is still far from losing its lead, although Microsoft has recently been actively encouraging the transition to Windows 11.
According to the latest data from Statcounter, in January, Windows 11 collected 18.1% of users in the global market. This is a share among Microsoft OS. At the same time, the share of Windows 10 fell from 82.4% in December 2021 to 68.8% in January 2023.
Statcounter data means that Windows 11 is still installed on less than 1 in 5 computers, but the operating system is slowly and surely increasing the number of users every month. According to Steam statistics, more than 30% of users of the service switched to Windows 11, while the number of Windows 10 users decreased by 1.96%.
