The Verkhovna Rada may appoint new heads of the Security Service of Ukraine and the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the coming weeks. Vasyl Malyuk and Ihor Klymenko are named as possible candidates.
According to RBC-Ukraine, other candidates for the specified positions were not considered. In particular, only Malyuk is being considered for the post of head of the SBU.
At the same time, it is clarified that if the heads of departments are not appointed in the next plenary weeks, then due to regulatory procedures related to other issues.
It is worth noting that Malyuk and Klymenko are now acting as heads of the respective departments.

The government assigned the duties of the Minister of Internal Affairs to the head of the National Police, Ihor Klymenko.
At the same time, Malyuk was appointed acting head of the Security Service of Ukraine as of July 18, 2022.
