Arrested persons in remand detention centers were offered to join the “Wagner” Communist Party, while promising to close criminal cases.

Russian prisoners are being forced to join the ranks of the “Wagner” Communist Party, threatening new criminal cases.
As reported by the “Agency”, prisoners are under pressure in the colonies of Samara and Rostov regions, Krasnodar region and regions of the North Caucasus.
“The operatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs or the FSB come, promise to raise old cases 10-20 years ago, for which the statute of limitations has already expired, they scare that they will open cases against those who refuse to go to war,” said human rights activist Yana Helmel.
Human rights activist Oksana Asaulenko also reported on similar methods of pressure in the colonies of the Perm region. For example, she cited the case of a prisoner who was five months away from being released. According to the man’s mother, in the last conversation, he let her know that he was forced to sign a contract with PVK “Wagner”.
Also, sources of the “Agency” report that those arrested in remand centers began to be offered to join the “Wagner” PEC, while promising to close criminal cases.
The occupiers are recruiting Zeks for the war against Ukraine
In the summer of 2022, the leader of the “Wagner” Communist Party Yevgeny Prigozhin began personally visiting prisons to recruit prisoners to go fight against Ukraine. On February 6, according to the media, the recruiters of the “Wagner” PMC began to call again on Russian prisoners to go to war against Ukraine.
Even African mercenaries who were in Russian prisons are fighting in the “Wagner” PMC.
A military officer said that Russian commanders send prisoners to storm Ukrainian cities without food, because “prisoners simply play the role of cannon fodder.”
