By the end of the month, Russia will probably try to attack the territory of our country.
Military expert Oleksandr Musienko asked what the beginning of Russia’s new offensive against Ukraine depends on. On the 1+1 broadcast, he stated that, first of all, it depends on Putin’s instructions.
“I think the first factor putting pressure on them is Putin’s order. Maybe February 24, maybe until the end of the month, until March,” says Musienko.
He named the weather as the second factor: if there will be warming, there will be no frost, then it will be very difficult for Russian tanks to advance, except on roads. Therefore, the occupiers will take to the roads and become easy targets for Ukrainian artillery and anti-tank weapons.
“But if we look at Soledar: did the weather prevent the advance of Russian troops? Or in Bakhmut, where attacks continue? Because other methods are used: instead of artillery, mortars are used by assault groups,” Musienko noted.
But, he continued, the concentration and consolidation of Russian forces indicates that they may be ready for these attacks by the end of the month.
Talks about the repeated invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine
At the end of 2022, talk intensified that Russia was preparing for a new offensive on the territory of Ukraine. So far, there are no signs of a second invasion from the territory of Belarus. But the impact is likely in other directions.
Thus, the Ministry of Defense’s GUR believes that Russia will attack in three directions – Donetsk, Luhansk and Zaporizhzhia.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny stated that the Russian Federation is preparing 200,000 military personnel to throw them into the war against Ukraine, and the Russians may try to capture Kyiv once again.
