In 2023, Belarus will start building a new training ground and a military town in the Gomel region, which borders Ukraine.
As the “Motolko.Help” project reports, the state investment program of Belarus for 2023 provides for the construction of a number of military infrastructure facilities.
Journalists paid special attention to the fact that in 2023 Belarus plans to start construction of a new military town and training ground in Gomel Oblast, near Ukraine. Tens of millions of dollars are planned to be spent on the construction of the town and landfill, the project is designed to last until 2027.
In addition, the reconstruction of the barracks in the Lunynets military town and the construction of a maintenance and repair point in the same military town are planned.
How Belarus will play along with Russia
Alexander Lukashenko’s regime does not stop playing along with Putin’s dictatorial regime. According to the DPSU, there are currently about 11,000 Russian military personnel on the territory of Belarus, but their number changes periodically. According to the head of the DPSU, the border guards do not record an increase in groups of Russian and Belarusian troops near the Ukrainian border.
