Finland is preparing military aid to Ukraine. This will already be the 13th package, but it is not yet known what will be included there.
“Finland has not yet made a final decision regarding the supply of Leopard tanks to Ukraine,” said the statement of the head of the Finnish Foreign Ministry, Pekka Haavisto.
According to him, there is now an intensive discussion on sending heavy equipment to Ukraine.
“The government of Finland has not yet made a final decision regarding the supply of Leopard, this issue will be actively discussed by the Finnish authorities. We will be a part of this initiative in one way or another, that is why we constantly maintain a dialogue with Germany, Poland and other countries,” the minister noted.
Earlier, the Minister of Defense of Finland, Mikko Savola, stated that Finland would take part in the supply of tanks to Ukraine, but this contribution would be small. Also, his country is ready to take part in training Ukrainian soldiers in tank management and their maintenance.
