It is noteworthy that the damage occurs shortly after the warranty.
Owners of the foldable Samsung Fold 3 smartphones began to complain about the appearance of cracks in the middle of the display shortly after the warranty expired. Posts appear on Reddit and other Internet forums.
All of them claim that they did not drop the smartphone and the cracks on the screen appeared when one of the displays was opened in everyday use: for example, after overnight charging. You can see how it actually looks in the photo below.
One user claims that she contacted Samsung support after encountering a malfunction. There, she was advised to have the display repaired by a third-party technician for $800. This, by the way, is almost 70% of the initial cost of the entire smartphone.
The company has not yet commented on any complaint.
Earlier, reported that Samsung has huge problems with the batteries of old smartphones – they can eventually “blow up”. If you have Samsung smartphones that are lying around and are not used all the time, it is worth checking their condition.
Analysts say that the world is on the verge of a collapse in smartphone prices
Weak demand and an oversupply of smartphones in warehouses could force manufacturers to start a price war, leading to a sharp decline in the cost of mobile devices in 2023, analysts say.
It is noted that oversaturation of warehouses did not affect individual manufacturers – absolutely all Android brands faced this problem. Apple also suffers from overcrowded warehouses, which almost completely stopped production of the iPhone 14 and 14 Plus due to weak demand.
