As a result of the shelling, four high-rise buildings and a school building were damaged.
In Pokrovsk, Donetsk region, which was shelled by the Russian invaders on February 15, 2023, the rescue operation has been completed. Three people became victims of the impact on the high-rise building, 11 more residents were injured.
As Pavlo Kyrylenko, the head of the Donetsk regional military administration, noted in Telegram, one person is in serious condition among the wounded. He is in a hospital in a nearby region.
“As a result of the shelling, four high-rise buildings and a school were damaged. Not a day goes by that the Russians do not commit a war crime on our land,” Kyrylenko added.
Shelling of Pokrovsk
On Wednesday, February 15, 2023, Russian invaders shelled an apartment building in Pokrovsk, Donetsk region. As a result of the impact, the upper floors of the building were almost completely destroyed.
Around 2:30 p.m., rescuers retrieved the body of a dead man from under the rubble of a house in Pokrovsk. Emergency rescue and search operations headquarters were deployed at the scene.
Later it became known that the number of victims of the Russian attack on a multi-story apartment building increased. Two dead and 11 wounded were reported at the time.
