Actor Jack Gleason has already shared his impressions of our country.
Irish actor Jack Gleeson, who played Joffrey Baratheon in the famous series “Game of Thrones”, came to Ukraine and is already in Kyiv. He shared his first impressions and talked about the support of our country during the full-scale war, which the Russian Federation started almost a year ago.
The photo from Gleason has already been shown on her Facebook page by Ukrainian director Kateryna Chepura. In addition, the actor gave a comment to the “Ukraine now” Telegram channel.
“I feel a great honor and privilege to be invited to Ukraine. I am grateful for this. I have only been in Ukraine for 12 hours. We arrived in Lviv and then by train to Kyiv. I probably need a little more time to get a full picture of the country, but already I am very glad that there is no snow. How can other actors help Ukraine? We need to use the profile of a celebrity to draw attention to the war in Ukraine. I think it is a great privilege to have such a gift. And this opportunity is quite a power.” Gleason emphasized.
It is reported that the “Game of Thrones” actor will be in Ukraine for several days. Gleason, together with his friends, brought a pickup truck that British volunteers had purchased for the ZSU. He plans to meet with the defenders of our country. The actor will also take part in a charity film intensive at the Young Spectator’s Theater in Lypki, and the funds from this event will go to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It is planned to purchase a truck for mortars.
In addition, Gleason previously auctioned a statuette of his character, King Joffrey Baratheon. The proceeds from the sale will go to a thermal imager for the Armed Forces.
We will remind, director Katya Chepura invited Gleason to Ukraine. The girl admitted that she was afraid to write to the actor because she did not know the English language, but their mutual friend came to the rescue.
