The Czech Republic will not be at a loss from aid to Ukraine, and therefore will not lose motivation to help.
The USA will provide the Czech Republic with 200 million dollars, which will be partially aimed at compensating the cost of weapons transferred to Ukraine. This is reported by the US Embassy in the Czech Republic.
“The USA will provide another 200 million hryvnias under the military funding program in the Czech Republic. The money is intended to strengthen Czech defense capabilities, protect against the increased threat from Russia, and help restore the military potential of the Czech Republic after military supplies to Ukraine,” the message says.
As the Czech news agency CTK reports, this is the second such military grant that the Czech Republic has received from the United States in recent months. In the autumn, Washington gave Prague 106 million dollars to compensate for the weapons transferred to Ukraine and to strengthen the Czech army.
The war in Ukraine is the help of the Czech Republic
From the first days of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the Czech Republic became one of the leading suppliers of weapons for the Ukrainian army. Thanks to a powerful military industry, the relatively small Czech Republic managed to supply Ukraine with a large number of modernized Soviet-made armored vehicles.
In addition, the Czech authorities approved the participation of its citizens in the war on the side of Ukraine as part of the Foreign Volunteer Legion.
Also, the Czech Republic accepted many orders for the production of weapons under the contracts of the Ukrainian state.
