The expert called the departure of these ships to the sea another political example of blackmail with the threat of nuclear weapons from the Kremlin.

Military expert Serhiy Grabsky commented on the statements of Norwegian intelligence that the ships of the Russian Northern Fleet went to sea for the first time after the collapse of the USSR with tactical nuclear weapons on board, and there is a serious threat of using tactical nuclear weapons in the scenario of a potential confrontation between Russia and NATO. According to him, this is most likely another example of blackmail by the Kremlin.
“Well, for the first time in 30 years, they took their fleet to sea and declared that this fleet has nuclear weapons. Well, actually, that’s all. This is another political example of blackmail with the threat of nuclear weapons, but nothing more. Everyone perfectly understands , to the extent that this blackmail no longer plays any role, and they treat it with understanding, like the behavior of a riotous deranged person in a separate ward,” the expert explained on the air of the FREEDOM TV channel.
At the same time, according to Grabskyi, the “sanitarians” in this story are members of the nuclear club, in particular China. He emphasized that “it is their right, their territory, the zone of influence and interaction in order to take appropriate measures to calm such a violent patient.”
The expert expressed confidence that the Russians can continue to withdraw their ships and threaten with nuclear weapons. However, the Kremlin will not go any further.
“Today, the world has created such a serious, balanced system of monitoring and control over all nuclear facilities that the unauthorized or irresponsible use of nuclear weapons is excluded. And secondly, we still need to figure out how effective nuclear weapons are. The Russian Federation does not even know, therefore that it has never in its history tested nuclear weapons at all,” Grabskyi said.
Nuclear threats of the Russian Federation
In mid-February, Norwegian intelligence reported that for the first time since the collapse of the USSR, the ships of the Russian Northern Fleet went to sea with tactical nuclear weapons on board. The intelligence service emphasizes that since the end of the Cold War, warships of the Northern Fleet of the Russian Federation have not carried out raids with nuclear weapons.
Political scientist Volodymyr Fesenko called such actions of Moscow a propaganda show. According to him, the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, is trying to “take it easy”, so he scares with tactical nuclear weapons.
At the same time, military expert Oleg Zhdanov stated that the Russian arsenal of nuclear weapons may be unfit for use due to improper maintenance of nuclear warheads and launch vehicles.
