Now the second group of 710 Ukrainian servicemen has started training.
On Friday, February 17, the Pentagon announced that the first group of Ukrainian soldiers completed training at the US base in Germany.
According to CNN, it is about a group of 635 Ukrainians who were at the Grafenwehr training ground. According to the Pentagon’s statement, during the exercises, the US conducts its own joint military training and demonstrates maneuvers. It is noted that the Ukrainian battalion also trained on the Bradley infantry fighting vehicle.
Currently, the second group of 710 Ukrainian servicemen is undergoing five-week courses. They will be taught maneuvers, medical and basic training. In addition, the soldiers will train on the Bradley infantry fighting vehicle and the M109 Paladin, a self-propelled howitzer, which the United States recently announced will be sent to Ukraine.
It is added that next week another 890 Ukrainian servicemen will begin training on Stryker combat vehicles.
Training of the Ukrainian military
On January 18, the Ukrainian military has already arrived in the United States to undergo training on Patriot systems. At the same time, they started studying in Germany.
According to the German Air Force, the training of Ukrainian servicemen to work with the Patriot air defense system is progressing at a rapid pace.
On February 12, the Armed Forces showed footage of Ukrainian military training in Britain. The program includes practicing offensive and defensive actions.
