The head of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine held consultations with the head of the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption.
Elections to the Anti-Corruption Council under the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine will be held through open electronic voting.
Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov announced this on Facebook. He noted that the system of public anti-corruption control is being formed. According to him, the Anti-Corruption Council under the Ministry of Defense must comply with the “best practices” used in this system.
“Key: openness, transparency, trust. This is what work should be built on. That is why the elections to the Council will be held through open electronic voting. All citizens of Ukraine will be able to take part in it,” said Reznikov.
The Minister noted that he held consultations with the head of the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption, Oleksandr Novikov, regarding the holding of an open vote for future members of the Anti-Corruption Council under the Ministry of Defense at the site of the National Anti-Corruption Agency.

On February 13, Reznikov announced that representatives of 13 organizations joined the creation of the anti-corruption council. These are representatives of the defense procurement reform project, the project of strengthening integrity and professionalism at the Ministry of Defense, Bigus Info, the Center for Defense Strategies, the Ukrainian Center for the Study of Security Problems named after Dmytro Tymchuk, the public organization “Democratic Ax” and the NGO “Stop Corruption”.
They are also representatives of the Center for Research on the Army, Conversion and Disarmament, the “Volunteer Movement” charitable organization, the “Together Against Corruption” NGO, the Public Control Council of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine, the All-Ukrainian Association “Avtomaidan” and the Public Catering Association.
