On Saturday, February 18, 2023, two men committed a shooting in Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region. Participants in the conflict were detained during a special police operation.
As reported by the police of the Dnipropetrovsk region, law enforcement officers received a report of a shooting on the territory of the Metallurgical District of the city.
“As the police established, a conflict situation arose between local residents, drivers of Kia and BMW cars, as a result of which a shooting occurred. No one was injured. Both participants in the conflict, men aged 30 and 31, were detained by the criminal police department together with patrol officers by the police,” the report says.
It is noted that all the circumstances of what happened are currently being established. The police seized a pump-action shotgun and a pistol.
“The men were taken to the police station. The issue of their detention is being resolved in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. Investigative measures are ongoing,” the police added.
Two criminal proceedings have been opened for the shooting: under part 2 of Art. 15 h. 1 st. 115 (attempted murder) and Part 4 of Art. 296 (hooliganism) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
