A strong wind is expected in the west of our country.
As of today, February 20, a storm warning has been issued in eight regions. According to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, strong gusts of wind are expected in the west of Ukraine.
“In the afternoon, south-westerly wind gusts of 15-20 m/s will occur in the western part,” the warning reads.
As noted, the 1st level of danger, yellow, is declared in the following areas:
- Volynsk;
- Rivne;
- Lviv;
- Ternopil;
- Khmelnytska;
- Zakarpattia;
- Ivano-Frankivsk;
- Chernivtsi
According to forecasters, it will rain today in the western regions, in the evening in Zhytomyr and Kyiv regions, with wet snow in some places. There is no precipitation in the rest of the territory. There is ice on the roads on the Left Bank.
The wind is mainly northwesterly, 7-12 m/s, during the day in the western part gusts of 15-20 m/s. The temperature during the day is 1-6°C, in Transcarpathia and in the southern part it is 7-9°C during the day.
