The decision provides for the deprivation of Geo Leros’ participation in plenary sessions until the beginning of September 2023 or the end of martial law.
The Verkhovna Rada supported the decision to deprive People’s Deputy Geo Leros of the right to participate in plenary sessions, deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak reported in Telegram.
“Parliament supported the deprivation of the right of MP G. Leros to participate in the plenary session,” Zhelezniak wrote.
According to his data, 261 deputies supported the relevant decision.
“Since the Council is currently working in continuous session mode, Geo is deprived of participation until the end of the current session (this is the beginning of September 2023) or the end of martial law and, accordingly, changes in the special regime of the Council’s work during the war. That is, most likely, for six months,” – he noted.
At the same time, Zheleznyak did not specify the reasons for such a decision of the parliament.
Geo Leros – scandals involving the people’s deputy
In November 2021, Geo Leros, during a speech from the rostrum of the Rada, called Zelensky a “traitor” and pointed the middle finger in the direction of the president.
Subsequently, the deputy was charged with hooliganism and failure to comply with the court’s decision, according to which Leros was ordered to refute the information spread on Facebook about the alleged sale of state positions by the brother of the head of the VP Andriy Yermak.
The same month, the court released Leros on personal recognizance. The GBR insisted on a fine or deprivation of liberty of the people’s deputy for up to 3 years.
Back in September 2021, the deputy had a conflict with the “servant” Mykola Tyschenko. Tyshchenko drove Leros from the podium when he criticized the activities of the VP.
