If you still want to play classic Angry Birds, there is only one day left to download the game from Google Play.
Rovio Classics: Angry Birds, the remastered version of the original hit mobile game, will be pulled from the Google app store on Thursday due to “impact on the broader portfolio of games.” Strangely enough, the classic version will still be available on the App Store, although the game’s developer, Rovio Entertainment, plans to change its name to Red’s First Flight.

Attention to other versions of the game is likely to be attracted by the presence of microtransactions – unlike the original Rovio Classics: Angry Birds. The cost of a one-time in-app purchase is $1, but that’s enough to make players prefer the classic version.
Changing the name of the game in the App Store will make it harder to find, but at least it will still be there as an option.
“We understand that this is sad news for many fans, as well as for the team that worked hard to make Rovio Classics: Angry Birds a reality. We are grateful to the users who have shown their love for the brand and the game from the very beginning. We hope fans will continue to do so in Angry Birds 2, Angry Birds Friends and Angry Birds Journey,” Rovio said in a Twitter message.
In Angry Birds, the player uses a slingshot to shoot birds at pigs that are placed on different structures. Since its initial release for Apple iOS on December 10, 2009, over 12 million copies of the game have been purchased in the App Store. The puzzle game spawned a number of sequels and spin-offs, including Angry Birds Halloween (later renamed Angry Birds Seasons), Bad Piggies racing and Angry Birds Go, Angry Birds Epic role-playing game, Angry Birds Fight puzzle and Angry Birds Transform for girls” Angry Birds Stella .
Users now have less than 24 hours to download the classic version of Angry Birds on Google Play and the App Store – there it is still available under the name Rovio Classics: AB.
