According to the report of the so-called “soldiers”, Ukrainian soldiers allegedly blew up the dam on the Northern Pond in order to slow down the movement of the occupiers. The General Staff has not yet confirmed this.
At the same time, the mercenaries of the “Vagner” PMC report on the alleged capture of the village of Yagidne on the outskirts of the city, as proof of “victory” they publish a photo near the village’s stele. However, Ukrainian military correspondent Andrii Tsaplienko noted that this stele is quite far from the village. The village has a small number of private houses and farm buildings.

According to the General Staff, during the day of February 24, Ukrainian soldiers repelled about 70 attacks by the Russian occupiers in the Kupyan, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiiv and Shakhtar directions. Russian troops are concentrating their main offensive efforts in these directions.
