Sony held its first PlayStation State of Play 2023 event, during which it showed off new trailers for upcoming games. Let’s briefly dwell on the most interesting projects of the presentation.
Humanity
Announced back in 2019, Humanity finally got a release date. The puzzle-platformer hybrid about a dog and mobs of people is coming to PS4, PS5, PlayStation VR and PlayStation VR2 in May. There is already a demo available on the PlayStation Store for interested players.
Resident Evil 4
The remake of Resident Evil 4, one of the most popular games in the series, will be released on PlayStation 5 in a month – on March 24.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League
The developers showed a gameplay trailer of the cooperative battle Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. In it, Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang and King Shark combine their unique powers to face waves of enemies. The game will be released on May 26 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
Destiny 2: Lightfall
The next addition to the game Destiny 2 will tell about another attack on the Traveler by an evil force. And Zavala’s task now is to rally the troops with the help of new allies. Destiny 2: Lightfall will be released on February 28.
Goodbye Volcano High
This narrative adventure game follows the care of Fang and his lizard friends as they navigate an uncertain future in their final days of high school. The player has to communicate with friends, rehearse the band’s performance and try to prepare for the future. The release of the game Goodbye Volcano High is scheduled for June 15.
Baldur’s Gate 3
The trailer introduces players to the antagonist, General Ketheric Thromthe. He is a powerful necromancer who leads an army of the dead to the eponymous city of Baldur’s Gate. He was voiced by actor Jay Kay Simmons (Spider-Man, Obsession). Baldur’s Gate 3 launches on PC, PlayStation and Xbox on August 31st.
Chia
This is an adventure game inspired by Breath of the Wild. The trailer tells the story of a fearless little girl who climbs trees, drives a catamaran, and a dolphin who inhabits her body with the help of magic. Tchia will be released on March 21.
Naruto x Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections
A collection that includes characters that have appeared over the 20-year history of Naruto. The release is planned for 2023, but more precise dates have not yet been named.
Street Fighter 6
Capcom is gradually introducing players to the characters that can be expected in Street Fighter 6. The new trailer shows the return of Cammy and Zangief, as well as the first appearance of the fighter Lily, who can control the wind. Street Fighter 6 will be released on June 2.
