Russian occupiers continue to attack the positions of Ukrainian troops in the Bakhmut direction, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports in operational information regarding the Russian invasion as of 6:00 p.m.

In the Volyn, Poliske, Siversk and Slobozhansk directions, the operational situation remains without significant changes, no offensive enemy groups have been detected. The occupiers carried out airstrikes in Veterenarno and Rubizhnye districts,” the General Staff said.

At the same time, in the Kupyansk and Lymansk directions, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions in the areas of Masyutivka, Nevske, Bilogorivka, Spirne, Fedorivka, as well as in the Serebryansk Forestry area. Enemy troops also shelled the areas of several settlements in the Kharkiv and Luhansk regions with artillery. Enemy airstrikes were recorded in Hryanikyvka and Spirny.

In the Bakhmut direction, the enemy continues to attack the positions of Ukrainian troops, has made several unsuccessful attempts to attack near the settlements of Orihovo-Vasylivka, Berkhivka, Ivanivske, and North Donetsk region. Areas of 18 settlements were shelled.

The General Staff also reported that on the Avdiiv and Shakhtar directions, the enemy carried out offensive actions in the areas of the settlements of Avdiivka, Vodyane, Pershotravneve, Maryinka, and Novomykhailivka – without success. He carried out artillery shelling of a number of settlements.

At the same time, in the Zaporizhzhya region, the districts of 12 settlements, including Vremivka, Novopil of the Donetsk region, suffered fire damage; Olhivske, Malynivka, Gulyaipole, Biloghirya and Kamianska of the Zaporizhzhia region; Manganets and Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk region.

On the Kherson direction, Novoberislav and Kherson were damaged by the artillery fire of the Russian occupying forces.

In addition, the General Staff reported that in the temporarily captured territories of Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions, the Russian occupiers are intensifying pressure on the civilian population, conducting searches of premises. It is known that in the town of Vasylivka, Zaporizhzhia region, the Russians have set up a torture chamber where pro-Ukrainian citizens are held.

The day before, the General Staff stated that the offensive of the Russian Federation is gaining momentum – the enemy is transferring additional troops for the assaults.

However, the offensive actions of the Russians near Bakhmut, as before, cost the enemy dearly. According to ISW experts, Russia lacks the combat power and resources to support a new offensive.
