In July, new products are scarce, but there will be many continuations of well-known TV series. And this month can be called the star hour of actor Timothy Olyphant: two projects with his participation are planned for release. In this material, as always, we get to know the most interesting premieres of the current month’s series.
New series
“Closed circle” / Full Circle
Genre: crime-detective drama

The action unfolds in New York, where an investigation into a failed kidnapping takes place. It leads to the revelation of long-standing secrets about many of the characters involved in the case.
“Closed Circle” came from the pen of the screenwriter Ed Solomon, who worked on the first “Charlie’s Angels” and two parts of “The Illusion of Deception”, and the production of all six episodes was handled by Steven Soderbergh. The project also boasts an all-star cast: Timothy Olyphant, Claire Danes, Zazie Beetz and Dennis Quaid will appear in the frame.
“Justified: City Primeval” / Justified: City Primeval

This is a continuation of the crime drama “Justice”, the plot of which is based on Elmore Leonard’s story Fire in the Hole. The series had 6 seasons and was released from 2010 to 2015. Here again we mention Timothy Olyphant, who returns to the role of Deputy US Marshal Raylan Givens.
City Primeval is based on Leonard’s novel of the same name, and its main character, after the previous events, moves from Kentucky to Miami, where he continues to serve as a marshal. But fate soon throws the hero to Detroit, where he will have to face the criminal Clement Mansell, known as the Savage from Oklahoma.
“Special Ops: Lioness” / Special Ops: Lioness

In order to eliminate a powerful and dangerous terrorist organization, the CIA recruits a woman named Jo. She is from the marines, and her task is the daughter of one of the leaders of the terrorists, whom the main character must gain trust.
The showrunner of the project was Taylor Sheridan, and among the producers you can find such wonderful women as Nicole Kidman and Zoe Saldana. They will also appear in the frame. Moreover, Saldana won the main role, and Michael Kelly and 86-year-old Morgan Freeman joined her in secondary roles.
Twisted Metal
Genre: post-apocalyptic action comedy

In a post-apocalyptic wasteland, deliveryman John Doe gets a chance to change his life for the better if he does a difficult job. He is assigned to deliver a mysterious parcel, but the task is complicated by the attack of ruthless marauders on deadly cars. With the support of a car thief, John must face brutal pursuers.
Twisted Metal is based on the action arcade racing video game series of the same name. It consists of 10 half-hour episodes, all of which will be available to watch on the Peacock service on July 27. The main role was played by Anthony Mackie.

The fourth season of The Miracle Worker, subtitled The End of the World, takes place in a post-apocalyptic world. Road Warrior Cid and Warlord Freya Exaltada leave the devastated Wasteland for a normal life in Boomtown.
The season was planned for release at the beginning of the year, which we wrote about in the relevant material, but the TBS network had a schedule change, which delayed the premiere until July.
“Party” / The Afterparty

If the first season of this detective comedy focused on a murder committed right at a party dedicated to the reunion of graduates, then the new investigation will take place after a mysterious crime at a wedding. Michael Sheen and David Tennant return to their roles in the second season of the hit comedy show, based on Terry Pratchett’s novel of the same name, co-written with Neil Gaiman. There will be six episodes, which will be released on July 28 on Prime Video.
