Recall that earlier the government reported that the network of gas stations Glusco, which is associated with people’s deputy Viktor Medvedchuk suspected of crimes, was transferred to the management of NJSC Naftogaz. This decision will help in overcoming the shortage of fuel in Ukraine.

According to the Office of the Prosecutor General, criminal proceedings are being investigated on the facts of tax evasion, legalization (laundering) of property obtained by criminal means and illegal manufacture, storage, sale or transportation for the purpose of selling excisable goods.

As part of the case, the court arrested more than 234 real estate objects of the Glusco group of companies – 145 gas stations, 8 oil depots, 38 warehouses and other premises, 9 land plots. This property is located on the territory of Kyiv, Kyiv, Dnepropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporozhye, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kharkiv, Kherson, Poltava, Nikolaev, Kirovograd, Lviv and Volyn regions.

In order to prevent illegal use, these objects and the corporate rights of 34 legal entities of the Glusco group were transferred to the management of ARMA.

Prosecutors found out that the ultimate owners of these companies are residents of Russia. In order to hide property from possible special confiscation, during 2021-2022 they carried out a number of fictitious contracts for the sale of corporate rights of founders of non-residents.

In May 2022, the Kiev District Court of Kharkiv seized the properties of the Glusco group. Currently, this property has been transferred to the management of ARMA. Thus, law enforcement officers ensured the direction of Russian assets to strengthen economic security in the field of the fuel and energy complex and the defense capability of Ukraine.

Recall that earlier the Office of the President assured that Ukraine would create a fuel reserve for several months in advance in an amount that the Russian occupiers would not be able to destroy.
