In the capital of Ukraine, violations of the law on the cost of fuel are systematically noticed.
This was announced in a commentary to UNN by the head of the Main Directorate of the State Food Service in Kiev, Oleg Ruban.
“In connection with the removal by the Cabinet of Ministers of the regulation of fuel prices, its cost has grown rapidly. At some sections of gas stations – by 30-40%.
Therefore, monitoring groups are working today, which carry out state control measures, because in the event of the removal of the regulated price, gas stations should gradually raise prices, and not immediately. Therefore, this is a violation of the current legislation,” Ruban said .
The State Food and Consumer Service is now recording such cases as excessive balances of gas station earnings. Next, there will be a petition to the relevant authorities that issue a license to revoke it for these offenders.
To date, inspections have already begun and are being carried out at 68 gas station facilities. The existence of a declaration under the current legislation provides for the declaration of intentions to raise the price, and not immediately raise it by 30%, before the start of a rise in prices for socially significant goods, which include fuel, Ruban summed up .
Earlier, the State Food and Consumer Service announced that it had begun inspections at gas stations due to complaints about exorbitant fuel prices.
Recall that in Ukraine at the end of April there was a shortage of fuel at gas stations. To resolve the situation on April 29, the government raised the marginal prices for gasoline and diesel fuel by 40-43%. On May 17, the government suspended price regulation on the fuel market . According to the Cabinet of Ministers, after this decision, the expected marginal prices for diesel fuel will not exceed UAH 58 per liter, and gasoline prices will not exceed UAH 52 per liter.
