2022–2031 — Decade of Science and Technology in Russia

Russian President Vladimir Putin declared 2022-2031 the decade of science and technology. The corresponding decree was published on the official Internet portal of legal information.

In order to strengthen the role of science and technology in solving the most important tasks of the development of society and the country, taking into account the results achieved during the Year of Science and Technology in the Russian Federation in 2021, I decide to declare 2022-2031 the Decade of Science and Technology in the Russian Federation.

The decree says that during this period Russia will attract talented young people to the field of research and development, involve researchers and developers in solving “the most important tasks for the development of society and the country”, and will also increase the availability of information about the achievements and prospects of Russian science.

To this end, a coordinating committee for the decade of science and technology will be formed. The composition and statutory documents will be approved within three months.

The committee will include VK CEO Kiriyenko, Rosatom CEO Likhachev, Mintsifra head Shadayev and others. You can familiarize yourself with the decree on the official website .
