President Volodymyr Zelensky commented on the massive missile strikes on Ukrainian regions carried out by the Russian Federation on May 3.
The head of state believes that Russia reacted so nervously to Ukrainian successes in evacuating civilians from the Mariupol Azovstal.
Zelensky said this in his video message on the evening of May 3.
“Various Ukrainian cities have again become a target for Russian strikes: Lviv, Vinnitsa, Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv regions, Odessa. Such a scale of shelling does not indicate that Russia has a special military goal. To strike at Transcarpathia: what can it concretely give Russia?” the president said.
Zelensky believes that the Russians are trying to avenge their impotence with missile strikes, because Ukraine is beyond their power.
“But for the time being, it’s within our power to burn children’s attractions in Kharkov park, or destroy some bridge, grain warehouse or residential building. The more such blows, the further Russia is from civilization,” he stressed.
