MediaTek has announced the Genio 1200 processor, designed to build intelligent Internet of Things (AIoT) devices. The product can be used in smart home equipment, robotics, etc.
The chip is manufactured using 6nm technology. It combines eight cores, including four Cortex-A78 clocked at up to 2.2 GHz and four Cortex-A55. Provided graphics accelerator Arm Mali-G57 MC5.
The NPU, which is responsible for accelerating the execution of operations related to artificial intelligence and machine learning, provides performance up to 4.8 TOPS (trillion operations per second).
The graphics node allows 4Kp90 decoding and 4Kp60 encoding. The total declared power consumption is less than 8 watts.
Among other things, support for LPDDR4X-4266 memory up to 16 GB, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 wireless communications, 5G modems, cameras with a resolution of up to 48 million pixels, USB 3.1 and USB 2.0 interfaces are mentioned.
