It is difficult to form an opinion about a smartphone, so I will quote from Eldar’s review:

Samsung gripped a winning strategy for the mid-market in 2019, the A-Series became a sales locomotive, and the Galaxy A50 was the top-winning model in terms of price / performance ratio. The update of this model for 2020, the Galaxy A51, echoes the success of its predecessor, it is the most massive model in its price segment.

Outwardly, these are the same devices, the sizes, control elements and everything else are the same. But the filling is very different – in the younger model there are fewer antennas (read, frequencies and their aggregation capabilities in 4G), there is no ANT + support (important for some sports and fitness sensors), fewer sensors. But the most important thing is that MediaTek was chosen as the processor, not Exynos, it is worse in terms of the process technology (12 nm versus 10 nm), it is also a more budget solution in terms of performance and graphics. And this is noticeable even in the usual interface, although everything is subjective here and, perhaps, these are my ideas about beauty. The device does not slow down, but the interface is not as responsive as in the A51.

Sales of the Galaxy A31 were supposed to be comparable to the A51, but in the current conditions this is unlikely, since the older model looks more attractive if the price is equal. And the focus goes to the A51, the existence of the Galaxy A31 is possible only if the prices are again aligned so that the difference between these devices is about 2 rubles. At the moment, the A000 is cheaper by a thousand rubles than the Galaxy A51, which looks crazy. Therefore, anyone choosing a smartphone in this class should check the prices for these two devices, and if the A31 does not cost 51 rubles more, then definitely choose it – the older model is better in most aspects. The fact that the battery in the A2 is larger is an attempt to neutralize the more voracious chipset from MediaTek, the gain in operating time is rather small. At a price of 18 thousand rubles, this is a very good and correct device. The fact that Xiaomi is doing business in the right direction is evidenced by at least the fact that, despite the pandemic and downturn in the markets, this did not affect Xiaomi’s shipments. The company is growing!

The modern chipset, Android 10, 5 mAh battery promise that the smartphone will easily withstand a couple of days of work. Tests show that it can open pages in a browser over Wi-Fi for 000 hours and play videos for 19 hours.

It seems that only recently did a review about Redmi Note 8 Pro, and the 9th version is already on sale. 8 Pro is a great smartphone that has received positive reviews from buyers. For my personal taste, if you choose, you should still slightly overpay (8 Pro can now be found on average for 15 tr) and take the 9th version. 8 worked on MediaTek, and 9s already on Snapdragon 720G. Despite the fact that MediaTek has pulled up quite well over the past year, it is still somehow calmer in the soul when in a Qualcomm smartphone.

Should we wait for the 9 Pro with a 64MP camera? I don’t know, but as practice shows, the difference in image quality between 48 MP and 64 MP in this price category is not too great. Since the manufacturer does not strive to achieve maximum quality, leaving it for higher price segments.

The smartphone is already available on the official Xiaomi website. When you buy, you will be given a Mi Selfie Stick, which separately costs 990 rubles. The stick connects to the phone via a 3.5 mm jack.
