Congratulations on the arrival of the next new “Turn on” tariff line! And then we missed, I suppose, for a month or even more without updating all tariffs. If last time there were literally a couple of small changes, this time there are many changes. There are also positive changes, but there are much more negative ones. I recommend that you read the review, since they can be transferred to the current tariff forcibly, about this – at the end of the text.

The last time I wrote a review of the MegaFon line was in December 2019, you can read it here. It seems that then there was another update, but there was no point in writing a review at all, a couple of parameters were tweaked in detail. But I will quote the review of December 2019 today. In 2019, before December there was an October upgrade of the line, the review is here. I have already written about the logic of such a leapfrog with tariff lines, this logic exists. If you change a lot of parameters in the tariffs of the line, then it is advisable to publish all the changes, inform users, etc. Why should people be nervous? I sent the ruler to the archive and rolled out a new one, if you want, take a magnifying glass and compare, and the operator is not obliged to talk about what has changed. And a magnifying glass will definitely be required, very bizarrely ornate tariffs in MegaFon, a quote from “my beloved”:

“To say that MegaFon’s tariffs are difficult to understand is to say nothing. They are not only complex, they are confusing and structurally different from each other, in places unpredictable. For example, the amount of the subscription fee may depend on the method of connection and even switching to a tariff, changing the tariff in the salon, we can get a subscriber for 100 rubles / month less than switching to the same tariff through the Personal Account. Calls to landline numbers are included in the package, but not in all tariffs and only the first six months after connecting or switching to a tariff, again, only in the salon. And this is not the worst option in the current environment of rising prices. A new trend is emerging: if the last year and a half, operators have mainly redrawn their cheapest tariffs in their lines and gradually raised prices and monthly fees to ~ 400 rubles / month minimum, now they can simply send the cheapest tariff to the archive “without declaring war”. “Beeline” recently removed from its line “Close people” the cheapest “Close people 1” for 500 rubles. And the most budgetary automatically became “Close people 2” for 700 rubles. per month. Just like that, simple and tasteful. No hassle for tariff builders and no headache for me when each upgrade of the line means at least one completely killed working day. No, it’s better as in MegaFon, although we will tinker with the study of changes, but they do not hack backhand, leaving some, no, but a choice.

So, here is the MegaFon tariff showcase. Naturally, in order to see the cheapest offers, you need to leaf through the list of tariff plates aside, but these are ordinary and quite harmless little tricks, we have all got used to it for a long time. In the screenshot above, I have put together a full line of “Turn on” for you, the picture in readable resolution is available by clicking. The order of the tariffs remained the same as on the website, from the most expensive to the cheapest.

For easy comparison, see the tariff line for December 2019, i.e. four months ago. The first thing that stumbles upon the eye is the disappearance of the “Choose” tariff with the ability to adjust the proportions of minutes / traffic. In general, the loss is small. I already once wrote that the engines, of course, are beautiful and visual, but the overwhelming majority of subscribers do not use them. And those who use it thoughtfully often find that the result of the setup turned out to be somewhat more expensive than a simple tariff without any engines with similar parameters. Now let’s go through the tariffs in the order they appear on the site’s showcase.

“Turn on! Look “ description on the site here. It was: a tariff with VIP status and privileges. Unlimited calls within the network (to MegaFon numbers throughout Russia) spend minutes packages on such calls. In the package of minutes, calls to numbers all over Russia, in addition to the package, calls to local city numbers – 2.2 rubles / min, intercity calls to landlines – 5 rubles / min. Calls to local mobile numbers in excess of the package – 2 rubles / min, to mobiles in other regions – 3 rubles / min (to MegaFon-Russia – 0 rubles / min). Additional package of minutes – 50 minutes for 50 rubles / month. There is an SMS package of 300 SMS. You can connect the paid package “Unlimited SMS”, but this is for an amateur, most of the 300 SMS included in the tariff will be enough with a margin. Internet unlimited is also present. The subscription fee for the tariff is 1 rubles / month. In “MegaFon TV”, as I understand from the description, almost everything is unlimited and free. The tariff also includes the MegaFon Protection option for free and without time limit, which protects the user from paid subscriptions. In cases where the site tries to subscribe, an SMS comes with a warning and a request to confirm the purchase. This is much better than 000 or 6 different bans, each of which is valid for only 8 months and then they need to be reconnected. They can, when they want! As you can see, such mechanisms exist and work, but not for everyone.

Changes: it seems that almost everything remained as it was (the wording has changed slightly), but in the new version of the tariff I did not find any mention of the free and unlimited MegaFon Protection option, which blocks paid subscriptions, only antivirus is indicated, which was kind of integrated into the complex MegaFon Protection “. In the pdf file the option “MegaFon Protection” is present, in the description on the site – not.

Old pdf file? No, the file is fresh, dated April 8, 2020. Most likely, the content of the site was edited on the basis of this file, but can you tell from the outside who, where and what messed up in the process? I don’t like to fantasize, it’s unproductive. Eh, I ought to make friends with Anya M., find out the latest news and consult on the intricacies, but MegaFon will definitely not approve of such a friendship.

So, if you decide to connect to this tariff, it is better to clarify in a week. MegaFon has complex tariffs, and mistakes / shortcomings in descriptions are usually corrected within a few days. UPDATE. I looked through the text before sending it for layout and, just in case, looked into the description. MegaFon Protection and antivirus appeared as a separate item. I will not argue that they corrected MegaFon, I might not have noticed this “Protection” in the list.

“Turn on! Have fun “… Description here. It used to be: unlimited calls within the network (to MegaFon numbers throughout Russia) do not consume a package of 100 minutes, there is a package of Internet traffic of 15 GB. But there is no SMS package, retail 2.2 rubles. local SMS and 3.5 rubles. SMS within Russia. The subscription fee is 450 rubles / month. Calls to local city numbers are not included in the package and are paid separately, you can activate the “City package” for 50 rubles / month, and then local city numbers will be spent from the package. Additional packages of minutes – 30 minutes for 30 rubles. Free and unlimited messengers and social networks VKontakte, Odnoklassniki, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, WhatsApp, Viber, Facebook Messenger, Snapchat, eMotion, TamTam. There are already unlimited videos, YouTube music, BOOM, Yandex.Music, Sound, VKontakte Music, Apple Music. “MegaFon TV” is free of charge, and for 180 days they give part of the content free of charge.

Changes: there are many of them on this tariff. The subscription fee became 600 instead of the previous 450 rubles / month, for this money they gave twice as much Internet (30 GB instead of 15 GB) and as much as six times more minutes, 600 instead of 100. However, calls to MegaFon now consume the package, and voice unlimited acts on MegaFon only after spending the package of minutes.

The description on the site says “For new subscribers, calls to landline numbers in Russia are included in the package for the first 6 months” (see screenshot above), there is not a word about this in the pdf file, it is written that calls to landline numbers are not included in the package. What to believe? The jester knows him, connect and find out, there are no other options.

A pleasant surprise with SMS, now SMS to MegaFon numbers in Russia are unlimited, to other numbers in Russia 100 SMS per day (!) Are free. Unfortunately, all this SMS grace is only for the first 6 months and only for new connections.

“Music and Video” disappeared from the list of unlimited services, including unlimited YouTube, only unlimited social networks and instant messengers remained. Since it is YouTube that eats the most traffic, now most users will run out of 30 GB much faster than 15 GB in the previous version. In general, the tariff was pretty spoiled, raising the price by 33% and piling up a mountain of very few people need SMS. The value of the increased package of minutes is questionable, since calls to MegaFon now consume the package. Yes, I almost forgot the most important thing, in the new version of the tariff line “Have fun” is called “Hit”!

“Turn on! Communicate “… It used to be: unlimited calls within the network (to MegaFon numbers throughout Russia) spend a package of 500 minutes. Calls to local city numbers are included in the package during the first 6 months only for new subscribers, the rest are paid separately at 2.2 rubles per minute. Additional packages of minutes – 50 minutes for 50 rubles. Unlimited Internet traffic. Intercity for 5 rubles / min for landline numbers, intercity for mobiles is included in the package. For new connections (NOT for transitions in the salon) the “Unlimited SMS” option is free for the first 6 months, the rest can activate this option for 55 rubles / month. The subscription fee is 600 rubles / month if you switch to a tariff on your own and 500 rubles / month if you connect again or switch to a tariff in the salon. “MegaFon TV” is free of charge, and for 180 days they give part of the content free of charge.

Changes: the most important change is that Internet unlimited has become a paid option, in Moscow for an additional 300 rubles / month. It is not necessary to connect Internet anlim, in this case the 15 GB package works per month. The tariff has fallen in price, it was 600 (for a share of 500), in the new version 500 rubles. per month. As far as I understand, “Communicate” was the cheapest tariff with unlimited Internet in MegaFon, and after the introduction of an additional fee of 300 rubles / month for it, the tariff was quite worthy of the title not just “Hit!”, But “Super-Hit!” …

It was: unlimited calls within the network (to MegaFon numbers throughout Russia) do not consume a package of 600 minutes, there is a 5 GB Internet traffic package, no SMS package, 2.2 rubles. local SMS and 3.5 rubles. SMS within Russia. The subscription fee is 500 rubles / month. Additional packages of minutes – 30 minutes for 30 rubles. Intercity in Russia is included in the package of minutes, in addition to the package, calls within Russia are 5 rubles / min to landline numbers and 3 rubles / min to mobile numbers. Changes: I think I found a tariff that didn’t get any worse. Yes, he was not bad before, despite the boring title “Speak”. Well, he has now risen in price by 50 rubles / month, and figs with him, not a tragedy. There seem to be no other changes. Some kind of “spoken” from crises and other restructuring “Speak”. Calls to all Russian telephones (including landlines) from the package, unlimited calls to MegaFon are not consumed. At present, they are just miracles. And yes, unlimited SMS is available for connection via the app with cashback payments, if you need it.

“Turn on! Premium “, description here. Top tariff in the line with a monthly fee of 3 rubles. per month. It was: 000 minutes in a package, unlimited SMS to all numbers in Russia, unlimited Internet. Unlimited calls within the network (to MegaFon numbers throughout Russia) do not spend a package of minutes. Indeed, why catch such a client on all sorts of small tricks? If you count calls to MegaFon for a third of all voice calls (in fact, there are usually more of them), then a total of 5 minutes per month is an average (!) Of 000 hours 6 minutes of conversations per day, where no more “do not roll bags” ? If suddenly it will be purposeful to continue “tossing bags”, then additional packages of 500 minutes for 3 rubles. at the disposal of a potential record holder. Everything in MegaFon TV is unlimited and free. The MegaFon Protection option is connected free of charge and without time limit.

Change: Marketers are weird people after all, by God. It would seem, why touch a person who pays 3 rubles. per subscriber month? Moreover, there are hardly many such clients, and they do not make the weather. However, they could not resist, spoiled the tariff. Now calls to MegaFon consume a package of minutes. SMS according to the unlimited scheme to MegaFon numbers in Russia, to other numbers in Russia free of charge 000 SMS per day. I did not notice any other changes.

“Turn on! Write “… The cheapest tariff of the “Switch on” line, the description is here. It was: in “Turn on! Write “traditionally for a package tariff – unlimited to MegaFon numbers throughout Russia, calls within the network consume a package of 300 minutes. There is a 5 GB internet traffic package and 300 SMS messages. The subscription fee is 400 rubles / month. Additional packages of minutes – 30 minutes for 30 rubles. Intercity for other operators – 13 rubles / min. Free and unlimited messengers WhatsApp, Viber, eMotion, Facebook Messenger, TamTam and Snapchat. It is a completely neutral-universal “workhorse” with the filling of packages corresponding to the name of the tariff. They also give MegaFon TV for free, but some of the content is paid for. It looks like on “Turn on! Write “cashback is not provided, all other” Turn on “cashback is available.

Changes: I did not see any changes in the “Write” tariff. I don’t remember if it was, but last time I didn’t write, but keep in mind that calls to local city numbers are not included in the package and are paid separately. Pleased and surprised that the monthly fee of 400 rubles / month was not touched.

Moscow is a big city, but not the navel of the earth, and there are many other regions in Russia. As far as I understand, the “Connect” line was updated on a federal scale and affected all or most other regions, so do not be too lazy to look at the site and compare your tariff with the new version. There is a small chance that the new tariff will seem more attractive to you. It is unlikely, of course, but miracles do happen. Perhaps, and vice versa, in certain regions those tariffs that have suffered little this time in Moscow will be greatly reduced.

Read the news here, called “More opportunities with MegaFon. MegaFon is optimizing its tariffs taking into account the needs of its customers. ” The mention of the phrase “personal offer” often means a forced transfer from the archive tariff to one of the existing ones. It is logical that at first they rolled out the updated line, and after a few days they began to transfer subscribers from archived tariffs to existing ones. Resisting the “proposal”, as you know, is useless. The only thing you can do is choose a different tariff from the existing ones. So if you are a happy owner of an archived “Turn on!” Although I fully admit that the parameters of the archived “Turn on” will change, it is not for nothing that they wrote in the news “we are reviewing the content of tariffs so that they meet the wishes of users.” They will add minutes or traffic with a corresponding change in the subscription fee – guess which way.

I repeat: if you liked one of the new tariffs, then be sure to read its description on the site yourself. Even if you are in Moscow, in MegaFon you could have changed / added something over the past few days, and I could have overlooked or confused something, with so many descriptions of the same type it happens.
