Gigabyte has updated the BRIX Extreme compact desktop computer. As the name suggests, the novelty is one of the most powerful nettops in the BRIX series. The presented version is equipped with 12th generation Intel Core processors with a nominal TDP of 28 watts. We are talking about Alder Lake-P series chips equipped with integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics.

The manufacturer offers BRIX Extreme based on the 10-core Core i3-1220P (frequency up to 4.4 GHz), 12-core Core i5-1240P (frequency up to 4.4 GHz) and 12-core Core i7-1260P (frequency up to 4.4 GHz). 7 GHz). The company offers high (Tall) and low (Slim) versions of the BRIX Extreme, but their sizes are not very different from each other. The dimensions of the low version are 137.16 × 134.62 × 48.26 mm. It has only one M.2 2280 slot for a PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe SSD. The tall version measures 137.16 × 134.62 × 50.8. It also has one PCIe 4.0 x4 slot for NVMe storage, but additionally offers a 2.5-inch bay for installing one SSD, or one HDD of the same size, or two M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 x1 drives.

The developer did not say anything about the cost and availability of the BRIX Extreme mini-PC based on Alder Lake.
