Despite the fact that the official presentation of Samsung’s rugged devices will take place in two weeks , a full-fledged page about the Galaxy XCover 6 Pro has already appeared on the company’s German website. This is a representative of a special line of gadgets designed for use in extreme conditions. To do this, the body of the device is protected from water and dust (IP68), as well as resistant to physical stress according to the military standard MIL-STD-810H.
Obviously, the XCover 6 Pro does not claim to be the handsome of the year, but it is strange to see it inferior in design to its two-year-old predecessor: a 6.6″ PLS screen with support for working with gloves is surrounded by wide frames, and a 13-megapixel front camera is placed straight in a waterdrop notch. from 2019. The set of main cameras includes a 50-megapixel main and 8-megapixel wide-angle modules.The basis is the Snapdragon 778G chipset, powered by a modest 4050 mAh battery with 15 W charging.By the way, the battery is removable.
Other features include a programmable XCover button on the left side, support for Samsung DeX docking stations, as well as an interesting feature of increased speaker volume during calls – for conversations in especially noisy conditions.
