At the end of last year, just before the holidays, the JBL brand launched children’s wireless headphones called JR310BT. Just in case, I will say that the brand also has JR300 wired headphones – in case you need to save a lot, but choose the most vivid design of the device.
It is logical to ask the question: what is the children’s positioning of the JR 310BT? In fact, in front of you are ordinary Bluetooth headphones, but they are designed for a small head, the sound volume is limited to 85 dB, and the appearance tells everyone: “Look how cool and cute we are!” In addition, the set includes stickers with numbers, Latin alphabet, brand logos and different emoticons.
The new JR 310BT will cost parents about 3 rubles. Yes, for this money you can already take a JBL Quantum One gaming headset, but it is more suitable for older kids. Well, the directions are different: Quantum – toys, JR – fashionable “ears” for showing themselves, for example, in “Tik-Tok”. Danya Milokhin could well be the face of the brand ?

Appearance
As usual, the JBL brand presents a variety of color options to potential users. In this case, there are three options:
- Blue… The outer side of the cups and headband is light blue, the inner side is pink.
- Red… Bright red cup and headband, blue interior.
- Green… Green on the outside, pale green on the inside. It seems to me not for everybody.
My review turned out to be the headphones of the first option. I think they are more suitable for girls.
Just for the first acquaintance, I gave the JBL JR 310BT to my daughter, who in a few months will be 5 years old. That is, the headphones ideally fall into the age category of the child.
The first thing my daughter did was modding. She glued the stickers to the outside of the shackle. It turned out cool! In this form, the headphones turned out to be individual.
Since Daddy’s Joy is already well versed in technology, she realized that for the device to work, it must be turned on. There are only two buttons on the case, and she knows one of them (a circle with a stick) for sure from other gadgets in our house: for example, on the JBL GO 3 speaker this button is also clearly visible.
Of course, I figured out the first connection, but in the future, she independently controlled the headphones.
The device is made of plastic. It looks and feels like a quality material. The plastic is matte, fingerprints are invisible. It would be great if the manufacturer made the model waterproof. But alas. Therefore, I periodically tracked the location of the headphones, so that it did not turn out that they accidentally bathe together with the Galya doll.
The color of the ear cushions, interior trim (the fabric that separates your ear from the speaker) and the interior of the headband is pink (# ff7581). The rest of the body is blue (# 99e6ff).
The filling of the ear cushions is foam rubber, covered on top with some very soft and thin material. Over time, it seems to me, he will peel off. The upper inner part of the headband is made like ear cushions.
The design of the headphones is foldable, and this is good: for example, my daughter takes her backpack with her, in which there is not much space, but the JR 310BT can easily fit there when folded.
Despite the somewhat toy-like appearance of the device, it is still made of a fairly high quality.
On the right earpiece, there are two large pairing and power buttons, as well as a microphone and an operation indicator.
Despite the fact that the headphones are designed for a small head, they can easily stretch to a decent size (at the maximum – on my head). An interesting detail: notes (eighth, fourth) appear instead of marks on the left and right when the device is laid out.
About sound
In fact, it would hardly be worth writing about quality here, since the headphones are designed for a small user in every sense. It is unlikely that a child will pay special attention to the subtleties of the sound of simple headphones. For example, in my case, my daughter almost always listened to audio stories.
Nevertheless, I myself was interested to know what children’s headphones for 3 rubles are capable of.
The first thing that surprised me was pleasant bass even in simple tracks from music streaming services. The bass is shallow, I think, somewhere at the level of 60-70 Hz. But it is dense and clearly recognizable by ear.
The second is good detail. You can definitely hear all the participants in the composition.
The third is volume. This is a trademark of almost all JBL brand headphones. The sound is not flat, it flies around you, you hear instruments on the right, on the left, there is even a certain sense of sounds in front and behind.
In general, the frequency range is narrow: there are no obvious lows or highs. Probably, if these were headphones for an adult, then even for 3 rubles they would sound better in terms of dynamic range.
The volume is really limited. To imagine how much, try in silence to set the volume so that it is weak for you, that is, I would like to make it even louder by 20-30 percent.
JBL JR 301BT headphones can act as a headset. And they cope with their task very well: the sound is loud, clear, intelligibility is very good. Yes, your interlocutor hears as if you are communicating with him on a speakerphone, but this is an unobtrusive effect.

Working hours
Since these are headphones for children, this does not imply constant listening for hours on end. In my case, one charge was enough for more than a week: this is 20-30 minutes a day. Official data – up to 30 hours.
The capacity of the built-in battery is 400 mAh, it takes about two hours to charge.
Impressions
JBL JR 310BT headphones are a great gift for a child: bright appearance of the device, ease of use, foldable design, good sound, volume restrictions, the ability to connect as a headset. Of course, with such headphones you are not ashamed to show yourself on Tik-Tok or any other social network.
The cost of the model is 3 rubles. It seems to me that the price for these headphones is extremely reasonable.
However, I would still like to warn parents: do not let a child who is not yet four or five years old use any headphones. Here both the influence of Bluetooth and the sound pressure on the auricle are not yet fully formed organism. If you want to listen to music / fairy tales for more than 30 minutes – buy a portable speaker, for example, the same JBL GO 3 (https://mobile-review.com/accessories/review/jbl-go-3.shtml), about which I told before the holidays. She’s as cool as the JR 310BT.
Googling children’s headphones, I found eKids and Lexibook brands unknown to me. I have not tried either one or the other. If companies suddenly offer their devices for a test, I will look with pleasure.
