Positioning
A mysterious story is connected with the appearance of this model on the review. At some point during the January holidays, I was contacted by some marketers from an unknown company F150. They said that they have an unannounced smartphone, which is protected so that mom does not grieve, and the price of this device will be around $ 100.
At the time of the correspondence with the “secret” F150 employees, there was no information about the new product yet, but the way the phone was described interested me.
While the gadget was flying from … the Netherlands, an official website appeared dedicated to the only phone called F150 B2021. Of course, there is “about us”, but, as a rule, the essence is something like this (like most similar companies): “We are a young and successful company, founded yesterday, but has already established itself in the international market.”
One way or another, the smartphone in life, and not in pictures, turned out to be very pleasant in appearance, and I would not even call it brutal: the B2021 is stylish, neatly assembled and to some extent beautiful.
The technical features of this model interested me in the last place, because for $ 100 there can be nothing worthwhile inside the device. Nevertheless: NFC, 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal memory, a slot for a memory card, two SIM cards and an 8000 mAh battery.
PS Concerning the F150 company. There is a suspicion that this is Oukitel, since F150 managers contacted me immediately after the correspondence with Oukitel representatives. Moreover, F150 was aware of our agreements with Oukitel.
The manufacturer at the last moment changed the name of the smartphone from Bison 2021 to B2021.
Appearance
The manufacturer compares the design of the B2021 to an SUV cutting across the sand dunes: the smartphone cameras represent the headlights, and the flash represents the spotlights on the car.
There are two colors on sale – “sugar” and “stone”, that is, sand and dark gray. Both variants have a fine, rough texture, reminiscent of the special armored paint on some cars.
Frankly, the smartphone looks much better live than in photographs and renders. On the one hand, he is cute and even, in a sense, cute, but on the other, you can feel the character, partly the same brutality. That is, two opposites coexist in it, so I absolutely do not exclude the fact that the F150 will appeal even to girls who constantly break their smartphones, even in cases.
By the way, my wife often drops or drowns smartphones. Fortunately, she has the LG G6, which withstands all the tests. But she wouldn’t use the B2021 – it’s too big and heavy.
The F150 case is tailored to the type of most similar protected devices: durable plastic and a lot of metal, reinforced corners and thick frames, as well as rubber plugs on the connectors.
You have to be ready for the weight of the device – 320 grams. It is 100g heavier than the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. However, this did not bother me at all. Probably because it is winter now and I mostly wear gadgets in the big pockets of a massive jacket. In the hot season, I don’t even know how people will carry this block of plastic, metal and rubber. Although I can assume that it is for those who are involved in extreme sports or work in conditions where there is a risk of damaging the phone. Both those and others will store the smartphone in some kind of backpack or bag.
Buttons and connectors
On the right side of F150 B2021 the following elements are located:
- flat fingerprint scanner. Very convenient location, triggered instantly, high accuracy;
- power button;
- two separate volume buttons. It seems to me that they are made of plastic.
On the left side:
- special multifunctional button. Two actions can be assigned to it: short press and double. If the button is held down for more than a couple of seconds, the shell interface will change its appearance from the system UI to a modified one for the appearance of the device;
- a metal “cradle” is hidden behind the plug. It can accommodate two nano SIM cards and a microSD memory card. Yes, at the same time.
There is also a powerful plug at the bottom. Below it is USB Type-C and 3.5 mm.
On the back there are 4 lenses, framed by a copper-colored metal edging, and a wide bright flash. Below is an additional microphone for noise cancellation. Even lower, in the recess, is the speakerphone, hidden under three grilles. In addition, there is a loop for the strap.
In terms of protection, the manufacturer claims IP68 and even IP69K! The IP69K degree of protection is designed for applications where additional protection against high pressure and high temperatures is required. Typical applications: vehicles and the food industry, where equipment is intensively cleaned using high pressure or steam water.
And, of course, there is the well-known MIL-STD-810 – the US Army standard that determines the level of equipment protection.
The smartphone did not try to cook in a saucepan, but F150 B2021 feels great in the snow, under the shower and even in hot water.
Total: maximum protection from external influences, surprisingly, completely shameful appearance and the coolest assembly, but … large weight and dimensions.

Display
As you understand, with the large dimensions of the device, it is impractical to create a smartphone with a large screen diagonal:
- the gadget will become completely monstrous;
- the probability of killing the screen will become much higher.
Therefore, the F150 B2021 uses a 5.86 inch display. It is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Well, thanks, at least not the usual tempered glass. But the resolution here is only HD, that is, 1520 × 720 pixels. It would seem horror, gloom and “come on, goodbye!”, But the pixel density is 287 ppi. This means that it will be difficult to see individual pixels. Here is an excellent IPS-matrix from all points of view. Even after my Apple iPhone 12, the B2021 display looks good.
Another issue is maximum brightness. It is low here – 320 cd / m2. On average, even for cheap smartphones, it is around 400 cd / m2. I don’t understand what made the manufacturer limit the backlight brightness.
Another weird thing: the screen has an iPhone-like protrusion. Usually, various sensors, front-facing cameras, and so on are hidden in this cutout on Google Android devices. However, this is done when the display bezels are reduced to a few millimeters. Here, the frame is almost 10 mm.
There are no special settings in the phone: auto brightness, manual brightness, day or night mode, temperature.
Total: nice screen, good detail, large viewing angles; low brightness and completely inappropriate cutout.
Working hours
Wow, well, I was tortured to test this unit in terms of operating time. Still 8000 mAh, and then try charging this volume again!
In short, the F150 can handle three days of ultra mode accurately. Games discharge the device in 15 hours, movies can be watched for 20 hours. It’s cool for an IPS display. Would be AMOLED – you would have waited for this review for another two weeks ?
In the kit you will find a 5V / 2A power adapter. If the phone is discharged, then consider that the next 6 hours will have to use some other device.
However, the specs indicate that an 18W adapter should be included. Maybe I got a test copy.
Коммуникация
I warn you right away that this is a 4G device, there is no 5G here. The usual band is B1 / 3/7/8/19/20 for fourth generation communications. VoLTE support is a nice little thing. For MTS it only works on the way.
To make it more fun to read the parameters, the manufacturer has integrated Bluetooth 2021 and even NFC into the B5.1! And Wi-Fi boasts IEEE802.11 a / b / g / n / ac.
The rest is quite typical: there is a GPS / GLONASS / Galileo, an electronic compass, a gyroscope, an accelerometer.

And here begins a purely Chinese story about cameras: when you see one thing, but in reality it turns out to be completely different. Yes, I mean, there is one 13MP main camera, a macromodule, a camera for blurring the background and … a dummy for beauty. Basically, you only have one camera.
Shoots off a 13 MP module is fine for a $ 100 phone. During the day, the pictures are not bad, with a lack of light, the detail is reduced, but there is no soap. The dynamic range is narrow: shadows, details in the light areas of the frame – this is not about the F150. However, I’ve seen worse cameras.
I could not shoot a video – the “Camera” application flies to the home screen. Most likely, the software is still raw, although the firmware is from the manufacturer (December 26, last update).
The front camera is so-so, but there is a blur of the background – it works well.
The interface is primitive and in some places translated crookedly. I don’t think a potential user will dig into the camera settings. Yes, there is nothing especially there.

Let’s take a look at the memory speed, because there is 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal memory. For 100 bucks you will hardly find such a thing!
The speed of the “RAM” is 4900 MB / s, which is predictably low. Flash memory speed – 164/229 MB / s, weak, but not critical.
Last summer, MediaTek presented a single-chip system based on the Helio G25 chip. There are 8 Cortex-A53 cores, 12 nm process technology, clock frequency up to 2000 MHz. The chip is designed for inexpensive smartphones. In terms of parameters, the G25 is close to the Helio P2018 popular in 22.
The device does not behave very confidently, but I notice this against the background of the main phone – Apple iPhone 12. That is, I notice periodic brakes and microlags in the F150 B2021. In terms of performance, Call of duty can be played on the device at minimum settings. I don’t think a potential buyer will be a gambling addict. Well, what is weaker than COD goes without difficulty.
Total: the phone is fast, but the animation lags are a little annoying; you can play games, but something simple, although COD will go to the minimum; there is a lot of memory, but its speed is low.
Software
The smartphone runs on Google Android OS version 10. If you are interested in the “bare” shell, then you do not need to do anything. But if you want to look at the UI from the manufacturer, hold down the button on the left for a long time.
A compass widget, pedometer, noise meter, power manager appear on the main screen. And it all works in real time. The icons are slightly transformed, the font becomes large and gothic.
Conversational speaker and music capabilities
The speaker is not bad here: loud, clear, bass. Yes, and located in the right place.
I also liked the speakerphone. It is surprisingly loud and sounds clear. Usually in protected devices with this problem.
The F150 B2021 has a 3.5mm jack to which you can plug in headphones. The sound is pleasant, but I will not name any special chips here.
Impression
Perhaps the F150 B2021 is the only rugged smartphone that made me feel good. Before that, I had some dubious gadgets.
Despite the low cost, the device has a number of unique features: IP69K and MIL-STD810G protection, durable materials, good build, excellent design, long battery life, all important communication capabilities (NFC, 4G, GPS / GLONASS, two SIM cards ).
Among the shortcomings: the brightness of the screen matrix is average, there are microlags in the UI animation, this software is still damp.
In Russia, it is easy to buy a protected Ginzzu phone, for example, RS9602 or RS8502. They cost about 8 rubles. But the parameters, of course, they have terrible: 000 GB of internal memory, 16 GB of RAM, MediaTek MT2 and so on.
If we consider the Doogee S40 for 10 – 000 rubles, then it has 11/000 GB of memory, a MediaTek MT3 processor, a 32 mAh battery, but the screen resolution is very low – 6739×4600 pixels.
Oukitel has WP5 for 12 rubles. There are 000/4 GB of memory, a MediaTek Helio A32 processor and an 22 mAh battery.
At the moment, the F150 B2021 smartphone on AliExpress costs around 9 rubles. That’s a great value for a gadget like this. If you are a fan of this kind of device, I recommend it!
