During the period of martial law, according to the statement of the Minister of Social Policy Marina Lazebna, 100% of payments of pensions, subsidies and other types of social assistance were financed in Ukraine.

In addition to regular payments in June, about a million Ukrainians will be able to receive annual one-time financial assistance in accordance with the Laws of Ukraine “On the status of war veterans, guarantees of their social protection” and “On victims of Nazi persecution under martial law.” On May 7, the government decided to pay this allowance; in June, citizens of Ukraine will be able to receive it. The amount of a one-time cash payment will be from 612 to 4421 UAH.

On May 20, the Ministry of Veterans decided to expand the benefits and guarantees for the families of the terrorist defense and volunteers. According to this decision, volunteers of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, members of volunteer formations of territorial communities will be able to receive cash payments provided for in case of injury and disability as a result of the military aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine. In case of death, the relatives of the military who died in the war with the Russian occupation forces, their family members will receive a one-time financial assistance in the amount of 15 million hryvnia, which will be divided in equal shares among all recipients.

According to the state program of payments to internally displaced persons, displaced persons and persons located in temporarily occupied territories and territories where hostilities are taking place will be able to receive UAH 2,000 per adult and UAH 3,000 per child or person with a disability.

A number of international organizations, such as UNICEF, the UN, the International Committee of the Red Cross, the International Organization for Migration, etc., will provide assistance to migrants, socially unprotected categories of the population of Ukraine in the amount of UAH 2,200 to 2,500 in June.

Such assistance can be counted on:

• settlers,
• large families,
• families with children with disabilities
• older people with low incomes.

The mechanism for receiving payments for military pensioners has been changed, if earlier they could only use Oschadbank, in May a bill was passed that allows them to choose any bank for this.
