Trains from western Ukraine to Kyiv are 95% full: how many people return to the capital

Most of the Ukrzaliznytsia trains running from the western regions of Ukraine to Kyiv are over 95% full. It is to the capital that most people travel from the west.

Every day, at least 11,000 people return to Kiev by rail alone.

This was announced by the head of the board of JSC “Ukrzaliznytsya” Oleksandr Kamyshin.

“Most people now travel from the west to Kyiv. Almost all of our flights are more than 95% full. We calculated that at least 11,000 people return to Kyiv every day by rail alone,” the head of the company said.

In addition, passengers from abroad return to Ukraine by rail. Thus, from May 1 to May 11, at least 10,000 passengers from Europe returned by train.

Recall that Ukrzaliznytsia is completing the program of evacuation trains due to a significant decrease in the number of passengers using such flights.
