Ukraine has ambitious goals and a systematic plan on how to become a member of the European family in the near future, the prime minister noted.
Exactly three months ago, Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. During these three months, our people have experienced more trials than in the previous 30 years of independence. Today we face the biggest challenges in our modern history. But strategically, Ukraine has already won.
This was stated by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal at a government meeting on May 24.
“The Kremlin regime has dreamed for years of stopping our integration into the West. For Russia, Ukraine’s accession to the EU means the final burial of their imperial ambitions. After a full-scale invasion, the Russian leadership hoped that Ukraine’s integration into the EU would stop. But we only accelerated this process. Ukraine has ambitious goals and a systematic plan on how to become a member of the European family in the near future,” he said.
Shmyhal stressed that the government is ready to quickly make the necessary changes, implement the necessary European regulations and integrate into European projects.
“For this we do not need either 10 or 15 years. We have proven that we can do all this much faster,” he concluded.
Recall that Shmyhal told how Ukraine will help Europe to abandon Russian coal and reduce gas consumption.
