On the market, you can now see a vast number of different cordless vacuum cleaners with completely different prices. Today I would like to talk about the budget option, which in no case should be compared with any top options.

We will talk about the model of the JIMMY JV51 vertical cordless vacuum cleaner – it is quite cheap, but it still offers interesting functions and capabilities for its price. We will also tell you how to get a vacuum cleaner even cheaper.

The packaging in which the JIMMY JV51 is supplied is made of recyclable corrugated board. Inside, each component is stored in a separate box, while everything is protected by plastic. That is why you do not need to worry – the vacuum cleaner will not be damaged during transportation.

In addition to the vacuum cleaner itself, the kit includes an extension pipe with contacts for connecting motorized attachments, a 2500 mAh battery, a wall bracket, a power adapter and documents.

JIMMY JV51 has received various attachments. The main turbo brush has a built-in engine that rotates the roller. This nozzle is soft and useful for cleaning floors. It also has teeth that prevent hair and animal fur from wrapping around the roller.

The small turbo brush also has a motor – it should be used to clean upholstered furniture. The nozzle removes insects, germs and dust mites – a source of allergies that can cause itching, redness, coughing and respiratory problems.

With such a nozzle, the air penetrates deeply into the fabrics, and thanks to the intensive whipping and strong suction, nothing should remain from them. A pair of nozzles of different diameters with retractable brushes are also available for cleaning hard-to-reach places.

In addition, the vacuum cleaner has a removable 500 ml dust collection container with a high quality HEPA system for effective air filtration.

Appearance

JIMMY JV51 is made of metal and plastic in a red and white variation. He looks very dignified. I would say that by its appearance it seems that such a vacuum cleaner is much more expensive than it actually is. Dimensions – 600 × 220 × 230 mm, and weight – 2,9 kg.

An upright vacuum cleaner has three main components. The first is the main block in white with red elements. He has all the necessary controls.

The vacuum cleaner has a trigger switch, thanks to which you do not need to hold any buttons when cleaning – you just need to turn on the vacuum cleaner once. One more button is needed here to activate the turbo mode.

The main unit has a container with a HEPA filter and a special lid for removing dirt. Its design does not provide for a mechanism to “push” all the dirt down. Despite this, the container is still easy to clean and rinse.

The HEPA filter is capable of removing at least 99,97% of particles up to 0,3 microns in size. It must be changed at least once a year. The second important component is the extension tube in bright red color. Its length can be easily adjusted, so it will be convenient to use the vacuum cleaner for people of any height.

Well, there are also replaceable nozzles – there are four of them. The brushes can be connected to the main unit without a pipe. And it is very convenient, as it is possible to calmly clean the seats, sofas, curtains or other surfaces. In this case, the hand does not get tired when cleaning.

Features and experience of cleaning the house

The suction power is 115 W or 17 kPa, the motor rotation speed is 100 rpm, the maximum noise level is 000 dB, and the power consumption is 82 W. The Dyson V400 released in 2017 has a similar indicator. Nevertheless, in the standard mode, even in one session, you can completely cope with cleaning in a two-room apartment.

With a 2500 mAh battery, the vacuum cleaner will work for 45 minutes. You can significantly increase the cleaning efficiency using the turbo mode, but it is worth remembering that in this case the vacuum cleaner will not work for very long – usually up to 10 minutes, no more.

The battery is removable and charged separately using the supplied power adapter. In my opinion, this is a big plus. However, the charging time is not very impressive – as much as 5 hours.

In practice, this does not need to be considered a problem, we do not do the cleaning several times a day. But the more often you use turbo mode, the more you think about purchasing an additional battery.

An interesting feature is the presence of LED backlighting on the case. It makes it easier to collect dust and dirt in dark areas of the floor. Alas, wet cleaning is not provided with this vacuum cleaner. The transparent container for collecting dust has a volume of 0,5 liters.

The Upright Vacuum Cleaner supports sync with Android and iOS smartphones. To do this, you need to download the JIMMY application. The connection is made using Bluetooth.

The program allows you to see the status of the filter, container and battery charge, as well as find out what area was cleaned, and how much time it took with electricity.

I can say that cleaning with JIMMY JV51 is quite comfortable. The floor and furniture are cleaned well, it is perfectly cleaned and dust accumulates in hard-to-reach places. The vacuum cleaner also copes with animal hair. Unfortunately, there is no carpet cleaner here.

However, this does not prevent the vacuum cleaner from doing an excellent job with them. In standard mode, with a large amount of dirt, there will be no effective cleaning, but if you turn on the turbo mode, then the carpet after the cleaning session will be as good as new.

Cost and conclusions

In my opinion, this vacuum cleaner can replace a wired one. For such a variant of operation, the power and duration of operation of such a vacuum cleaner will be enough. Of course, the JIMMY JV51 is not without its drawbacks.

I would like to get a not so long charge, as well as the fact that the battery does not need to be removed to charge it. However, these are not so critical disadvantages that you can put up with if you want to choose an affordable and profitable model.
